Does it seem the grandmother keeps going into TOO much detail about every little thing? I believe someone mentioned before this is a sign of telling lies: Offering up too much.

I watched that long interview of the grands and one thing struck me during the entire thing. She kept referencing focusing on Caylee repeatedly. Almost to say, keep the interest on her and you won't get into my business or Casey's because we do not want you there. This sounds like a familiar thing to me that we have seen in another case lately. Which case didn't want people into their "family dynamics" because as it turns out...there is A LOT THERE? Brooke Bennett.
You are absolutely right! In one interview, the husband appeared almost catatonic-just staring at his wife...if there was a thought bubble above his head it might have read "How do you come up with all that sh**?!"

I saw that in watching the video of Jesse Crund last night. If you listen to what he says, he sounds like a very concerned dad. He says he remained friends with Casey BECAUSE of Caylee, and he knows her birthdate - August 9, 2005, not something a former fiance would remember if he didn't have a personal relationship with the child.

Can you imagine? Can you even Imagine? I mean, reading behind the scenes, imagine if LE knows that J is Caylee's father, and that J wanted to see Caylee the weekend of June 25th, and was puzzled by the statement that Caylee was at the beach with the Nanny but Casey was free to hang out with him...I mean it is not unheard of that these kids decided not to name him on the BC and keep it a secret...

Has LE mentioned lately that they are still looking for Caylee's father?

I do think the Gram is maligning this search with her BS, but I do not believe for a second that she would help Casey with a ruse if she knew she killed Kaylee. There is no possibility she would let that child be "out there" (being sensitive) indefinately. The most telling thing I heard her say was something like "people have to process these things in their own way"
when asked why she can't get a straight answer out of her kid. That speaks volumes to me. She may not be willing to admit to her herself yet, but she knows already.

Remember, she left the house, went back when they were away, shed was locked- this girl had a substance abuse problem, period.

just some other thoughts on this:

~she burried something else in the yard like drugs or money, etc and redug it up after her parents were out of the house

~huffing? lots of things to huff in a shed.... perhaps gma had problems with her doing that in the past...thus why she hid the keys from her

Whenever I see that in missing person cases, I always think that all they want is to make the appearance of trying to find someone, but they really don't want to find someone. They want to control the search so the truth isn't discovered.

My thoughts exactly SuziQ!
Don't seem to me that they're really trying to find her. Just hamper LE's efforts. It makes me ill,

I tried to find some news as of today...couldn't...but they did say previously they were.

If anyone knows any updates...please post.

What really gets me about this is how this whole family can tell the media that Casey was a WONDERFUL MOTHER. What wonderful mother hires any ol person to be a baby sitter? Wouldn't you as a mother check out the home of the woman that was your sitter? Wouldn't you get references before you left your child in someone's care? It appears this Casey knows nothing about this woman but left her in her care overnight for days? Whats her excuse for the vacant apartment? Didn't the cops ask her what the heck was up with her lies? They should have just arrested her for the child's murder.

Whats with these grandparents? They also care for the child on a regular basis but they don't know ANY of the kid's babysitters? They never had cause to call one of these sitters before? They never questioned Casey as to who she hires for a sitter? I don't know about you but in my family we know alot of these things. Who watches the kids etc. Sometimes we have even had cause to call grandma or grandma is the emergency # should a baby sitter have a problem or emergency.

How can anyone say any of these people are good caretakers? They should all be arrested for child endangerment at least. I think the parents are such lousy parents that this casey never had a chance to be decent.

I beleive the piece of pizza, was thrown in the trunk, to throw the police off. So that they could buy more time to get caylee out of the immidiate area, she knew it would stink, and draw some suspicion. I can only hope!

does anyone have any leftover pizza in their fridges? We should do a little experiment to see if pizza produces a stench... I HIGHLY DOUBT IT but ya never know.

Something was definitely up with that shed...at least in GM's mind.

Where are you sweet Caylee?

Another reall odd thing is that the granparents don't know who the father of this baby is and that they all decided to keep his name off the Birth certificate. Why? By law this father needs to pay child support. Why wasn't he? Why did they let him totally off the hook especially since Casey couldn't keep a job and needed money. Also, if the father died, she could be collecting social security for the child if he ever worked. Why didn't they file for that? This whole thing about the father seems very fishy too and the fact the parents have no idea who she was dating when she got pregnant and that this father had nothing to do with this adorable baby. That is really unusual. I also find it fishy that the grandmother got so bent out of shape even bringing him up and is so secretive about him. These people need to let it all hang out if they want to find this baby. I wonder if they are as secretive to the police?

This entire scenario stinks......
A child just isn't kidnapped then over a month later whoops she is gone....someone decided to call LE!
There doesn't seem to be any co-operation with LE at all.
Moms in jail.....Grandma is screaming for help yet only on her terms!

I'm beginning to think the whole dang bunch needs locked up until they all talk!
If I were LE I would get Grandpa off by himself and question him...hands down..

You know I strongly believe that's exactly why GM doesn't want the focus to be on anyone other than Caylee...she must have heard a lot of negative crap after the story broke...and she doesn't want anyone to focus on her. Also may be the reason she snapped at Giraldo...and there she just "assumed" he was thinking the whole situation sounded wacky!

Oh, I agree completely. I don't see Cindy saying she likes any of Casey's actions here. I just see her saying "let's talk about Caylee instead of Casey." Now, of course that's not really possible in this case, but I understand her instinct.

I understand Cindy's motive. She needs to go back to the starting point & question Casey. The problem isn't the media or anyone elses questions its the questions Casey needs to answer.

From personal experience, I can say there ARE reasons why someone wouldn't want the name of the father on the bc.

well it would be easy enough to find out- cell phone records??

or was it the land line at gma's house? Either way...why didn't she *69 it?!!

another thought is that she staged it... and there is someone else in on this hinky situation!!

She's REALLY ticked off that LE won't allow her.

I am ordering pizza today and the heat index is 110 here-but it IS my only vehicle and the one I carry my kids around in, lol...

I do! And my SUV is sitting in a closed garage that's probably about 110 degrees. I'll go do it right now. Is plain Domino's cheese pizza ok? One piece?

I hear ya- in this instance, for now, Im choosing to believe his hiring will facilitate the finding of Caylee-what else would she need him for, right?
for some reason I thought he was appointed??? will have to go back and check

Wow SS its been eating me alive as to what case this was like. More or less mind your own business & do as we tell you. Ask me no questions & I'll tell you no lies.

Yes like Brooke Bennett's family.

Argh, I'm in the same position you are in. I can't do it because I'll be driving with the A/C on from time to time.

We need someone who has an old abandoned car and pizza. lol.
