Caylee may be cremated

No one could profit of her ever again. She would be free and hopefully it would help everyone move on. And no matter what shore any of us go to we could think of Caylee and watch our babies splash in the waves and know that Caylee's spirit is there splashing them back while thousands of mothers look on never taking their eyes of their babies as they swim in the current. It would be a reminder to all to never take your eyes off of an endangered child.

:praying:

Yes, a very powerful way to remember her indeed.

As far as the finality of these last arrangements - we just don't know yet if it has been done. I really don't expect them to make an announcement.

I'm fine with the Anthony's keeping her funeral arrangements secret. I'm not sure if this is something I could watch/stomach. I want Caylee to find peace and I think anything private would lend itself to that. When my cousin died after spending most of her life in a wheelchair, her sister said she's dancing in heaven now. It brought me a lot of peace to know that she was truly free, no longer burdened by pain and physical restraints. I want Caylee to find that freedom and joy.

I know what you mean. It does bring comfort to those who believe that joy and peace are attainable. Caylee has had that peace for many months while everyone else has been living out the pits. Caylee is like you say - free and joyful.

As I understand it, he basically is selling the iv...but the way these shows work is that they won't pay for the iv's, but will licence pics to go along with the iv. He'd probably prefer it the other way too, but that's how it seems to work. I'm not expecting it to be a gruesome one. You must remember, that even here on WS, many people were blowing up the pics of what they thought was the skull etc. Crime scene pics are already out there, we've seen the book, the bag, now the blanket (in the video) etc. I feel sorry for the guy.

Either way its offered, it is up to him to sell the photos. I hope that he didn't do that. I honestly hope he didn't take photos knowing what he had found. I completely agree with you, however, none of us here have sold anything. There is just something about selling any photos that he may have took the morning he found her that doesn't sit with me the right way.
My hope is that this man would choose morals above money, but I am not in his shoes, so not sure he would feel the same way.

I don't believe that the photo(s) he has will have anything morose or weird about it/them. In fact, we're all likely to be bemoaning how irrelevant they really are by end of day tomorrow. My hunch and just my opinion.

I sure hope you are right! Nothing would make me happier than to know that Caylee's hero is nothing more than just her hero!

I really don't understand this hysteria about a cremation anyway.

To me the sad thing when a small child is taken this way is that if anyone had known this child was not wanted - all of us and millions of others would have wanted her straight away. No one got that chance, she didn't get that chance and maybe that is some of the loss we feel.

Exactly. This guy is worse than JB was at his worse. Talking to the press like 3 times a day, when there is no way he has to do that, and he's making his clients look more and more guilty each time he does, like JB used to do. I wonder if they were friends before this case?

I do have a different perspective on what was said from BC. I don't think anyone would dig Caylee up, but I do think feelings run so deep regarding what happened to her, that any gravestone might run the risk of being marked up.

My Mother was cremated, two years ago and wanted to be buried-my father died many years ago and was also cremated but his ashes scattered and she always felt badly that there was nothing permanent to show he was here.

So, we bought a plot for 4 cremations/stones, buried her ashes, and on her stone we put both their names even though we had nothing to bury. I tell this story only because a few months later, when I visited the cemetery, the gravestone was marked up, like some sort of graffiti. I was horrified, went to the office and found this happens, not regularly, but it is not totally unusual.

They have special solutions, depending on what was used to clean the headstones and what type of stone it is. The typical culprits are teenagers, who think it's "cool" and many times it's an initiation or challenge.

I heard she had already been cremated on Dec. 29. If so, this is so typical of the spin that has been prevalent during this whole case.

OMG..how horrible.
The worst I have ever seen is people steeling flowers, or taking the little angels that people leave on graves..I couldn't imagine finding headstones with graffiti..that is terrible..

I think it's terrible that Caylee doesn't have NOT ONE decent family member that can face a camera and tell us about her and how much they'll miss her.
Seems funny hearing funeral details from an attorney that didn't even know her.

For a high profile case, I think they are doing the right thing. They dont need armchair psychologists counting how many tears come out and calling them all sociopaths.

You summed up my feelings on this whole case so eloquently.:)

They sure didn't seem to care much about "armchair psychologists" when they were out there doing the crazy to point the finger at EVERYTHING and ANYTHING except for the facts! Nope. Sorry. I don't buy it. These people have shut up now because the "gig" is up and they need to for their own self-preservation.

MOO

Yes, vandalism at cemeteries happens....so sick and so sad. I'm so sorry that happened to your parents' gravestone. I'd feel so angry if someone did that to one of my loved one's gravestones.

Exactly. What do you bet they decide to have her cremated?

Wow, you get all that from their decision to have Caylee's remains cremated?

OH! I think I've figured it out. They plan to make up a bunch of little packages of Caylee's ashes and sell them on ebay!

In this case, Chilly, I wouldn't put it past them.

I will apoligize for this in advance. But this case has really made me cynical about many of the persons involved. I am afraid when I first saw this thread, my first thought was "oh they have decided that KC is guilty now."

If KC is convicted and later they win an appeal, another autopsy might be ordered. That could hurt a future trial. (for instance if some part of the autopsy is hotly debated or ruled invalid.) Since that could be harmful to KC, then they are deciding to cremate. If they thought she was innocent, they might want to bury her in order for her remains to be available if another suspect should show up. Again this was my first thought, not any fact.

The only people who disrespected her/her MEMORY and tried to profit were....well you know better who...... :(

I don't know why Mr. C even made a statement to the media on behalf of the Anthony's indicating "there are bad people out there who might dig up Caylee remains for profit". Goodness, gracious there are so many famous people buried throughout this country and they have yet been dug up to make a profit! What a ridiculous statement! :furious:
