Well, I'm not for the cremation. One never knows what new incredible developments await in forensic pathology. So many cases are solved years later when new technology is available that wasn't available when the crime was committed. Who knows what scientists will be able to find out from Caylee's bones in twenty years from now. I want Caylee to rest in peace, but I also want justice for her.
Casey would love a cremation, that's why it should not be done. Like one of the shrinks on NG's show said many months ago, Casey was so over this whole thing when Cindy made that 911 call. To me, cremation is the icing on the cake for Casey. Over and done with, no bones being dug up years later when some idiot thinks Casey deserves a parole hearing.
I know Casey wants to put this whole incident behind her. I'm sure she would have the ashes scattered as well, not saved, because I saw a Forensic Files episode where they were able to detect arsenic poisoning by testing someone's ashes. And in so many other episodes, certain newly available tests could not be performed because the body had been cremated.
I guess in the end, if she gets convicted, that's all that matters, but maybe for the sake of future cases of crimes against children, Caylee's bones may prove to be helpful twenty or thirty years from now for who knows what, poor little thing.
