Caylee "sighting" Reports and Tips Part 2

  • #81
Have you watched the interview?

They did follow them. That is when the lady took her last pic on her phone, the one where the person who had the little girl covered her own head so as not to be seen.

I believe there was a tag number given, it did not match the car. I don't know if it was a stolen tag, or they got the tag number wrong, but there was one given. This wasn't in this interview, but in an article online when it first happened.

So far I have not seen an article or heard an interview where it states that they BOTH left to call crimeline.

Yes, I'm sure they were both over excited, to see a little girl that LE says is dead. It would freak me out, and I wouldn't be sure WHAT to do either. I think they did the best they could in that situation, they took pics they called crimeline, and they followed them long enough to get a tag number.

Yes, I did watch the video. And I heard the lady say that after she called the crimeline she came back and found that the child "was gone". Why nos statement from the other woman saying where the child went if the other woman stayed behind? She then said, "But I got pictures of her covering her head." I did not hear her say she followed the child. How could she if, when she came back, the "child was gone"? But, I will re-watch the video to see if I am mistaken. It would not be the first time!

Really? Go watch it again. When she starts describing the way the lady was covering her head, the interviewer says "the lady?" and she says yes.
You know, that does not clear things up. It is a vaguely stated question. Was he asking if the lady covered her own head or was he asking if the lady covered the child's head or if the child covered her own head? Not clear to me at all.

No, there's not, but there is also not five photos there. She took five and all I can find are four.
Yes, and two of the photos are just blow-ups of the other two. I would like to see the other three, regardless of how fuzzy.

I just watched that again, and noticed that..but also noticed the reporter said that the pictures had the woman she was with in them..

Yes but that doesn't qualify the 'her', it leaves it up in the air as to whether she was covering her own head or the child's head. They lady was doing the covering, that we get for certain and they seemed to be trying to indicate it was the little girl's head but it is still unclear. She needed to ask one more question along those lines.

I read about and listen to all of these reported sightings and I do not grow angry or question anything about them. Sometimes I feel like other posters may be angry with the people who report Caylee sightings. My feeling is that these sightings keep Caylee in the news, the case in the spotlight. In between document dumps or "bombshell" days we need these SO-CALLED sightings.

In my heart of hearts I know little Caylee Marie is in heaven and quite safe sound happy and warm. In my heart of hearts I believe we need these sightings to keep this case front and center in the public eye, so when the trial comes her death will be fresh in the publics eyes. I mean yes....to us here at WS we know these sightings are sometimes ridiculous and beyond the realm of our imagination. But, what these sightings do is keep Caylee on the TV screen and remind us that people are reporting a sighting because there is a little girl missing and a mother that killed her child.

Trina, you are right!!! I re-wtached the video and I was wrong. The woman was clearly stating that the woman covered her own head. Mea culpa!
However, she also said, I went to follow her but "by the time I went to follow her, she was gone." She did not indicate that she got any car description or other information.
I still feel these women are not credible. They did not call 911 or mall security for help. Getting more officials involved seems to be the responsible thing. When there is an emergency, like a sighting of a missing child who is presumed dead, ya call 911!! Not a crime tip line. Thta's what people who are sure and scared and desparate to help do! It defies logic. They definitetely appear NOT to have followed the child or they would have more information like, "We walked behind them as they exited the play area. It was crowded and we lost them in the crowd." Something! But all we have is that one of th ladies went to follow them but the child was gone.

I do understand what you are saying but I don't think publicity is going to help find Caylee at this point. Her little body is long gone and only the "mother" knows where any possible remains could be. The problem with "tips" like these is that they just tease and never give concrete facts and that continues to aid the A family in their delusions and it also may assist the defense because we all know there can be gullible or confused people on a jury can be. Can't you just hear it now? Little sweet old blue haired lady on the jury, in the deliberation room, "Well, but now but those two sweet ladies SAW Caylee, so she can't be dead! They are 100% certain!" And there goes the case!
My mom did jury duty this week. The jury that was sat included an elderly lady who was asked no questions during voir dire and was so confused about everything beforehand, she had no clue where to go or what do to just seconds after being instructed by court personnel. "Okay everyone, you all need to go down to room C-50 now, just down the hall there." "What? Where am I supposed to go? What are we doing? What's happening? I can't remember what he said we were supposed to do!" My mom said her memory was horrible and when the jury was being picked she sat there with the most vacant, bovine expression, bless her soul. So, these "sightings" really worry me.

People see what they WANT to see.

The little girl has a strong reselmblence to Caylee...no doubt. The hairstyle especially draws to mind the infamous video of Caylee we've seen plastered on the TV for the past 5 months.

Do I doubt that these women really think it was Caylee? No. I think they believe their own testimony 100%.

But the rational part of my brain knows better.

We're supposed to believe that Caylee's kidnappers have been cunning enough to stay off the radar since June, but not smart enough to stay out of a crowded, busy mall just days prior to Thanksgiving? No...no it just makes zero sense. Sorry.

I guess the sightings don't bother me because I have read and re-read the forensic reports in this case and they will be so much more convincing during the trial than ANY of these sightings. There was a hair with a death band from an Anthony family member. This is concrete evidence of death. Concrete. There is concrete evidence of a decomposing body in the trunk of Casey's car. In my opinion the fact that little Caylee is dead will not be what needs to be proven. The prosecution needs only to link Casey to the murder. That is where all of the circumstantial evidence will point in her direction.

I can see your point too though, I just wanted to say...these sightings do not worry me.

Maybe this family was visiting from Europe or somewhere else in the world, came on vacation and then went home. I am sure this story isn't on their newscasts if they live in another country they haven't heard about this story and that their little girl is in this picture and on t.v. here in this country. Just a thought....

If you stole/kidnapped CAylee, would you GO INTO PUBLIC with the most famous toddler in the USA? I think the idea that her capters would be strolling in a mall or dining in a restaurant with Caylee at the height of her story is absurd.....Most 3 year olds resemble Caylee to some extent....

I haven't read all of the sighting thread, so forgive me if this has already been posted. I've been meaning to get in here and make note of it.

In the Cindy's FBI interview, and in the jail tapes, Cindy says that the Wanda W sighting person said that the little girl she saw gave her name as "Caylee Marie 'Antoni'". Cindy says this very clearly several times, stressing that this is how Caylee says her name.

In the news interview of Wanda W, Wanda clearly states that the little girl gave her name as "Caylee Mee (phonetically) Antoni".

Just wanted to make note of this discrepancy.

Their actions, or lack thereof. They did not call 911. They called a crimline. They did not call mall security "because mall security would have just called the police", which they did not really do themselves. They called a crimeline, not 911. It seems they BOTH left the area to call the crimeline, apparently, and when they got back "the child was gone". They did not follow the people with the child, nor get any license plate numbers, car description. In fact, they really don't even have a good description of the people with the kid, from what I have heard. The reason they did not do these things is because they were not sure and likely knew, in the back of their heads, that they were getting worked up over nothing. They did not want to look like fools. Well, if a person is really sure, they do not fail to do everything possible to protect and save the missing child. That's why they are not credible. Seem like two overexcited women
to me. Sorry.

My 3 year old doesn't look anything like Caylee. Blond hair, blue eyes AND he's a boy.:)
