Geeky Girl
I've read and heard that Christina was supposedly home by 7pm as well. This is just another one of those - yeah WE know this but does the JURY know this - questions I'm having. Has anyone heard that testified to by any of the witnesses? I think in large part, not being sure how much the jury knows about Christina is what is driving me mad right now AARRRGGHH
Makes sense to me. I just do not believe that Maria was at that Christmas party. I think she was dead by then - or seriously injured...
My confusion at this point is this - defense witnesses testify that Maria & Cesar weren't in contact with each other because of the MPO - so what is the defense theory, that Maria just appeared at his house uninvited that evening? Wouldn't she have thought he'd be at the Christmas party unless she knew otherwise in advance? And even if she had stopped by the Christmas party looking for him, it seems there were so many people there that she'd have to be there a while looking around for him and would've been seen by more than one person. :waitasec:
And what happened to him during this trial? :waitasec: IMO, there had to be some contact between them, not just that day, but beforehand as well arranging for her to go to El Paso.I agree, very strange. Doesn't it seem like cell phone records could have been useful in this regard? IIRC Capt Sutherland said early on that they had proof that CL and ML had been in contact that day, prior to her arrival at his house.

Ugh. Jurors excused until Monday morning.
Judge said something about not wanting the jury to get the case so late on Friday......Seriously?? I wonder why.
