I know the sentence will be LWOP but has any outlet said whether they convicted him on premeditation or on the felony murder rule?
"A jury on Monday convicted a former Marine of first-degree murder in the death of a pregnant colleague who had accused him of rape, a charge that stalled the military career he treasured......

The former Marine was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Laurean also faced three other charges of robbing Lauterbach of her bank ATM card, and of theft and attempted fraud for allegedly trying to use it to withdraw cash. He was found not guilty of the robbery charge, but Laurean was convicted on the fraud and theft charges."

I'm sure he will try all avenues available to him for an appeal. It will be interesting now to see if he does incriminate Christina in the future.........

I never imagined they would reach a verdict so quickly. I do believe however the ADA's closing argument this morning "storming out of the gate" did have an impact on the jury. MOO

I was just saying that to my mom about Christina, this would be the time he would throw her under the bus for real if she did it, who wants to spend the rest of their life in jail for a murder they didnt commit....

It will be interesting if she ever divorces him. There is still the civil lawsuit however. MOO

I am doing fine along with Mrs. Beasley. I am VERY pleased with the outcome today and looking forward to seeing more of the same in the other cases. :) Justice was served for Maria and Gabriel.< < < :blowkiss: with a :rose:

I very much agree. I was so worried the prosecution had left too many gaps in their case. They filled things in, and lined everything up just right, IMO.

Bill McNeil on WITN news speaking....he is appealing the decision....upset about the outcome of the trial.

McNeil said he wont say if Christina did it or not...He believes in his clients innocence

I wonder on what grounds he will base an appeal?

Seriously, I think McNeil messed up by trying to paint Maria in a very bad light as it had nothing to do with the case and certainly did not give anyone the right to murder her. From what I saw, McNeil was terribly ineffectual, but doubtful it meets the level of justifying an appeal.
