Well, that lady is finding out first hand how Cindy "helps". I don't believe people should be calling and being hateful, but a mild voice of protest isn't a bad thing because it gets the point across. Angry people demonstrating during the event would be bad, especially if Cindy shows up. E-mail, people, haven't you heard of e-mail? Don't be carrying burning torches and pitchforks. Yikes.

Cindy said in her e-mail to the media (snipped), "My goal is to help this foundation collect shoes for the orphans in Honduras. Unfortunately the media would not have normally covered this event, had it not been for my involvement."

Oh, Saintly One, the world thanks you for going out of you way to stick your nose into it. Next time I want the world to know something, I'll contact you, Cindy.

What did we do without you? :drink:

HAHA!!
I have a strong suspicion that any calls questioning the motive behind Cindy's altruistic donation is being termed hateful.

The shoes have been referred to as "a pair of shoes", "the shoes" and "some shoes" that I have seen.

Even "some" shoes could still mean ONE pair, as in: I bought SOME new shoes today...

Just sayin'.

I just hope that Cindy doesn't "strain" her back when she carries her donation to the event. *sarcasm intended*:furious:

Guess Cindy will be changing pharmacies.. haha. Patalano made it perfectly clear that they are not associated with the Anthony family..that rejection must have gotten Cindy's panties in bunches ...she probably thought her little cameo appearance was going to be the highlight of the 'event'..

Even Cindy's choice of word 'event' speaks volumes. It's a freaking shoe drive. You pull up in your car, you schlunk over to the bin and you drop the shoes in. Done. But to pseudo-celeb Cindy, it's an 'event'.. :banghead:

Wonder if Cindy will be getting a phone call saying "Thanks, but no thanks. You've done quite enough."

  • #185
One good thing may come of this, all organizations will see that in no way do they want to be affiliated with the "Anthonys". It's like poison.

  • #186
Odd, this is an ANNUAL shoe drive and Cindy is a long time customer, but only now she decides to donate via the media.

I think she has done enough.....damage. I think she will get the phone call with in 24 hours.

Before, she probably didn't have any famous shoes to donate.

Methinks she may have already gotten the phone call. The result: her second media e-mail.

Cindy Anthony Donating Caylee's Shoes To Nonprofit
Group Holding Shoe Drive On Saturday

snip-
“The emphasis is on mentoring children who have been orphaned and/or require the guidance and support of a caring adult who will teach them right from wrong, respect for others and the importance of an education,” the website said. “The Children of Love Foundation is concerned locally with youth who have become disoriented to the degree that they have become involved in the juvenile justice system and/or they have challenged or troubled home lives.

Maybe, if Cindy had gotten ICA involved with this group a long time ago-maybe Caylee would be wearing her shoes to kindergarten this year!:furious:

What I would love to see, as CA is walking up to the bin, cameras rolling, a volunteer is praising a person who has donated a large sack of shoes. CA walks up and hands here one pair of shoes to volunteer and starts with 'These were my granddaughter's Caylee sh..' volunteer interrupts her with an abrupt 'thanks' and casually tosses them into the bin - then quickly reaches past CA to the person behind her who has just come up with two large bags of shoes and starts praising this new person for her generous donation as CA is left there with her mouth open.

From the same link-
In an e-mail to Local 6 Wednesday responding to the controversy, Cindy Anthony wrote, "Hopefully everyone will be respectful to what this event is all about. It's not about my family, it's about doing a good thing for others. My goal is to help this foundation collect shoes for the orphans in Honduras. Unfortunately the media would not have normally covered this event, had it not been for my involvement."

Oh Cindy-your narcissism is showing again!!:banghead:

You're right Cindy, this "event" wasn't about you, but you made it about you when you, while thinking of only you, called the media to announce your donation of Caylee's shoes. If you didn't want this to be about you, you would have simply donated items without contacting the media.

"Unfortunately the media would not have normally covered this event, had it not been for my involvement."

Seriously? Had it not been for your extremely public donation, that was not even asked for, sponsors would not be backing out. People wouldn't be calling and leaving hateful messages to this poor woman whose only mistake was to hand you a flier.

The only thing I can hope for is that people feel so bad about what you have done to this seemingly good cause and show their support and donate shoes in Caylee's name. Making sure that no child has to walk in Caylee's shoes and I don't mean that in the literal sense. I personally would have had no problem with Cindy donating Caylee's things if she didn't make it about her.

Well, now, Rosebud things did not seem to go your way did they. When are you and the rest of your family going to learn people despise all of you. You take up for a baby killer people do not forget. Once again your self centered world of lies and deceit revolving around "you and KC" has screwed up more lives. It may cost a woman trying to do something decent and kind her job. The charity she has worked so many years for. Must be nice to know the children of Honduras are now under the Anthony Bus. I said it before you and your family are nothing but poison to anyone that comes in contact with you. Time to STHU and stop helping. BTW don't bring the Bible out please. We all know how you turn it around to your way of thinking. You do not have a clue what it really says or even know what it means. You are going to be on your knees soon from learning. It would seem you would have learned your lesson when your daughter killed Caylee. Look in the Bible and check out what is says about lying. Maybe you will learn something.

Well there ya go! Cindy Anthony makes everything she touches turn to poison. All of her glory seeking has caused trouble for another innocent victim! Why can't she just take a nice slow trip anywhere till trial time?

How could she not know this? As sad as it is NO ONE afaik has wanted their help or to be associated with them in any way..including at least 2 families of missing children that I know of. No matter what her true intentions are (and I have never kept my feelings on that subject a secret ) Cindy just does not get it! Does she really believe that she is smarter and knows better than 90% (my estimate, not factual :)) of the population? OMG lady, just STOP IT already..:banghead:..:banghead:..:banghead:..

  • #197
You know.. <sighs> every single time I think of Cindy Anthony.. I feel a huge karma drop. I keep wanting to think the woman has good intentions but that she just has had so much to handle (not just since Caylee's death either) that she loses sight of morals and common sense. Then she does something ELSE to rate the top spot on the "ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??????????" scale. WHO DOES THIS KIND OF STUFF??????????? Fine, you want to donate to help a charity. Fine, you have some self serving reasons why you want to do it. Fine, you think you are "all that" and can pull a crowd out to help them by using your media connections and "image" (and I use that term LOOSELY) ... but SERIOUSLY .. to do it WITHOUT their permission???????

I can see how the "press release" email could have been a misunderstanding between Cindy and the lady in charge, but to put in your email how YOU will be attending the event and how YOU will be grandly donating some items of your murdered grandaughter?? WHO DOES THAT??????????????????????????? Who here even has a baseline for the outrageous narcissism and egocentricity that it would take to do this??????

Cindy, if you are reading this.. please take note..

1. Donate the blasted shoes to the organization.
2. OFFER to let them use your NAME if they think it would help them with attendance.
3. Let THEM decide how much value you would add to their event.
4. THEN BACK THE "EFF" OFF and wait for someone else to decide what they want instead of assuming you know what is best for every living organism on this planet.

now.. to paraphrase the wonderfully eloquent Chevy Chase
.......... ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHH where's the dayum tylenol?????????

Hello WS :cool2:

A pair of shoes that belonged to Caylee Anthony will be donated to help less-fortunate children, her grandmother said.

One: the children that will receive those shoes are not "less fortunate" than Caylee(was).

Two: I thought, Cindy thought Caylee is alive? How can a person in denial, give away shoes that belong to their granddaughter that they believe is alive?

Third: I am really, really surprised all Cindy did was get media coverage for this stunt...I am surprised she didn't hold a "Caylee auction" to make money.

Last: I wonder how Casey feels about that? Is Cindy getting rid of all Caylee's stuff? Why?

...js...

Hello WS :)

Sorry to quote myself, and I may be revealing that I have truly gone insane...but the BBM part...I didn't write that sentence! I am almost 100% positive I didn't...

I didn't/wouldn't think about Cindy holding any kind of auction...and I think I remember another WS bringing something like that up in their post. Well, it's weird, but I'm not upset or anything: I just don't want something I didn't think put out there like I did(wrote it). So, writing this for a record...(like it matters to any body else but me...LOL. )

The thought of Cindy having a "Caylee auction" is one I would have read in a post and thought, "Oh, I hope she wouldn't do something like that..." but I wouldn't have thought to write it myself.

TIA

yup i agree, my youngest daughter is in kindegarten, wears size 10. ( dont ask me what her shoe size was when she was 2...almost 3..a size 6?)
was on the fence on this yeah its good to let go in a bit, and donate to needy kids, even if its somewhere else,( hondouras, some third world country where never probably hear of the anthony case)but yeah dont announce it w/ fanfare either. do it silently.
someone said she is dismantling the caylee shrine? again mixed feeling on this. i seen ( when ted bundy was executed, article in people magazine i believe, had pics of the familys left behind, some were sitting in their daughters room, stuffed animals, ect.) many of his victims families kept their bedrooms exactly the same as they left, as well w/ other cases/victims families. imo, i cant blame them on that. god forbid, something happen to either of my kids, i would want to hang on to EVERTHING i could possibly hang on to, keep their rooms like they had them,ect... but that is me.. however, i WOULD not cover for them if they killed their own kids.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A Central Florida charitable group said it fears its organization will be hurt because of a donation made by Casey Anthony's mother.
On Tuesday, Cindy Anthony sent an e-mail to Local 6, announcing that she would be donating some of her granddaughter's belongings to the Children of Love Foundation.
"I will be attending this event on Saturday, donating some of Caylee's shoes. I think that this project is worth mentioning," Cindy Anthony wrote.
The organization's founder, Doris Patalano, said she was unaware of Anthony's donation until she began receiving harassing phone calls from protesters Wednesday morning.
