No one in Orlando wants to be associated with her. Does she have the same problem when she goes shopping or out to dinner? Do people fawn all over her like a celebrity or treat her as an outcast?

She and George showed up at a football game at my daughter's school last year. It was really odd since it is a private school (very small) and it is nowhere near their side of town. I'm not sure what their connection to the school was (is?). In any case, no one paid them any attention. No one spoke to them. No one acknowledged them at all. They sat through the whole game and then left without any hoopla of any kind.

I would be so embarrassed if I were Cindy. Doesn't she realize that no one wants to be associated with her. They don't want her around. How is she viewing this outcome now? If she had any brains, she would publically say ...she will not be attending the charity event. If I were to see Cindy, I would get out her way for fear of becoming collateral damage.

Oh don't you worry..Cindy's cameo media appearance will be out before noon today. She will take the spotlight any way she can get it. I forsee her brief interview already.. "I just wanted to donate to help the children, and I contacted the media to help the organization...blah blah, poor me, those mean bloggers, blah blah...it wasn't about me or my family, blah blah..." Cindy the victim will get her mug on TV just as she intended.

Totally agree KentjpKent...but you see, since CA inserted herself and it was for selfish reasons and so selfserving, she just sabotaged this charity. What made her think this charity wanted the media there? If she didn't want to toot her own horn, just to tell about this event would have been a fine thing to do and would seem from the heart but instead, she had to insert that she will be donating some of Caylee's shoes for the need for media attention. She will be attending and would be worthwhile...for her to gain some sympathy, to look as if she truly cares about others. When and only when she becomes Caylee's voice, would people see her in a different light. Until then, she is a thorn in everyone's side...JMHO

How quickly she forgot about the time they were to be guest speakers at another charity event but was quickly cancelled due to this same outrage.

IIRC, due to harassing, threatening emails, they were uninvited...Why don't they get it?? If they can't be a voice for precious Caylee, they can't face the truth and no one wants these people to attend to spread more lies...JMHO

IMO They don't get it because they listen to the voices of their inner circle-they tell them what they want to hear so they can continue to live in their bubble world. I swear I think they live in a parallel world from ours. Cindy is probably stomping around this morning wondering why "we" don't get it!!:waitasec:

LMAO, you may be right..we are a bunch of middle aged people with no life....WRONG...JMHO

I am a homicide survivor. 27 years ago, my younger brother, my only sibling was murdered and left on the street to die. NO ONE has been held responsible for his murder, till this day. It hurts like hell that justice was denied, justice has not been served for my brother...I do hold on to one thing, KARMA....one might escape the law of the land but the law of the universe will always shine through..as I hear it, the one I felt was responsible is in prison for extortion, is now fighting sinus cancer that has spread to his brain, which means he will die in prison and die a horrible death...so, in essence, he is suffering for the suffering he caused our family...JMHO

Which is why I can't understand how the Anthony family is okay with trying to blame innocent people for Caylee's demise. They should be aware of Karma and it's beauty, for what you do to others will no doubt be done to YOU! JMHO

I feel so sorry for Doris. As much I can't stand the Anthony's or Casey, I would never harass someone about them. I kind of feel at fault for my earlier post asking how to get in touch with them to warn them. Geesh. Harassing a charity is about as low as you can go, IMO.

I so think this was a ploy to use for Baez's motions. What is worse than a charity getting harassed because of a media report? Still, Cindy is the idiot that emailed them. You can't have it boths ways! You can't email the media and then get mad when there's consequences to that. Ugh. Still, I can see Cindy on the stand and Baez arguing it anyway.

Yeah, Cindy, get on that stand again. I don't mind watching LDB tear you apart yet AGAIN. I so wish she and George would go live on a isolated island somewhere for the rest of their lives.

People should find an acceptable venue to rant too. (WS) I feel badly for this charity and this woman she had no idea, clearly. Maybe C&GA will take note of the problems they bring, they kind of remind me of pigpen the peanuts character with all the dust blowing around him. Taking back-- that they will take note perhaps thier new lawyers will offer some sound advice. One can hope right?

From the same link-
In an e-mail to Local 6 Wednesday responding to the controversy, Cindy Anthony wrote, "Hopefully everyone will be respectful to what this event is all about. It's not about my family, it's about doing a good thing for others. My goal is to help this foundation collect shoes for the orphans in Honduras. Unfortunately the media would not have normally covered this event, had it not been for my involvement."

Oh Cindy-your narcissism is showing again!!:banghead:

That was her only comment? She issued no apology for all of the ruckus she has caused? Unreal.

Hi Tulessa, I am law illiterate but I think the A's need to be sued by someone.
What they are doing to the shoe charity ~ wouldn't that be infringment on something belonging to someone else? They need to be sued big time:furious:
Maybe if they lost their home (even with ins) they would shut their DA** mouths. If I had the addy (will look) I'd send shoes from my living grt.grandson anon..Who in the he77 do they think they are!! I hope someone can explain these trouble mongers. I never thought I'd say I hate someone
but I am working on it.:croc::banghead:

Hi Nore, same here but my brother's murder threw me into helping those that are in similar situations. I knew basically NOTHING about he Law until that happened. I have been drawn to this case and sickened by this entire family since the beginning.

The more I think about this the more I go HMMMM...This is another example that Jose can use to prove the tainted jury pool does exist. If Cindy draws so much hate filled attention over donating shoes just think what people must think of his client. Really how could they not know it would cause outrage, they had to have known. Food for thought. JMHO

Why should she be sorry? You didn't get the memo? It isn't her fault. It's our fault.

Quote from Cindy.
My goal is to help this foundation collect shoes for the orphans in Honduras. Unfortunately, the media would not have normally covered this event had it not been for my involvement."

Does she really think that highly of herself?

The media would have most likely not covered the event if Cindy wouldn't have sent an email to the media advising them that she would be donating the shoes.:banghead:

Grandma donating Caylee's shoes to a nonprofit organization that is worth mentioning? Is this really news and worth mentioning? Cindy emails the news to make a story of this . Like Caylee was some kind of celebrity?

Truth is Caylee was a little girl lost from her birth on. A complete lie her whole life ! Her life was but a tragedy .Born into a self-absorbed family......

Who will walk in Caylee's shoes? Not her Family !!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

No child deserves to walk in Caylee's shoes. Burn them !!!!

Charleyann:furious:

BBM = why not? They can sit in a closet gathering dust, or they can be used to help a child in Honduras.

I don't agree with Cindy's antics, but agree that Caylee's shoes should be donated to a worthwile cause. Burning them, IMHO, is clearly disrespectful.

If it were not for her involvement the event probably would have went off without a hitch. She knows how the public feels about her, she put that charity at risk willingly. Shameful just shameful.

  • #235
Does anyone have an address for this charity where I can send a new pair of children's shoes? I feel so bad for this Doris and her charity and I really want to send a pair of shoes.

  • #236
I don't agree with the hateful calls. I understand that people are upset, but there are better ways to go about things.

As much as Cindy wants this trial to be about her, because her and Casey are cut from the same cloth, ya know, it isn't. This trial is about Caylee! Caylee! Caylee! The VICTIM!

I don't agree with blaming the media for what has happened. Cindy wrote the email to the media. She knew exactly what she was doing. If she thinks that this little "ploy" of hers is going to give Jose B. an advantage in his latest motion, she is sadly mistaken. The media would have had NOTHING to report if Cindy didn't give them SOMETHING to report. She knew it would upset people. She knew it would cause a reaction. Disgusting if you ask me, to use an innocent charity for her personal agenda? There is no telling how low this woman can go. She scares me.

  • #237
Why on earth would she send an e-mail to the media about donating shoes? She has to have some kind of entitlement to just about everything she does. It's all me, me, me. Boy that sounds like the same characteristics in ICA.

MOO

Mel

Look at Meeeee! Are the cameras ready? I’m dropping the shoes in the bin now, bible in left hand..make sure you get it in the shot.. smiling, smiling, and cut. I’m ready for my interview now Holly..Makeup!! George!! Sit here so I can rub your knee obsessively, just don’t block my shot.

So, Cindy..how does it feel to donate Caylee’s shoes to the needy children of the Honduras?
Well, Holly, We Anthony’s are truly altruistic givers, no hidden agendas here, because Casey is innocent, we just needed to, you know, give. We will spend our lives giving to missing kidnapped and needy children because, you know, Casey is innocent.
And how to you feel George?
Oh, absolutely, what Cindy said. Uh huh.
Camera pans back to Cindy…

This is such a classic example of an "Anthony debacle" I can't even summon up the energy to be disgusted. Beyond head shaking and WTF, I seem to be speechless. I do wish the "hate" callers had been able to express their disapproval in a less bitter and harmful way, as this poor woman had no idea Cindy was having yet another "media event."

Rosebud, why not take Baez's advice? Permanently "ZIP IT".

I hate to be a spoil sport.

It is a fact that bad pub is better then no pub. Sorry. In this case, many learned of this charity for the first time because of this negative pub.

When folks learn of the harassing phone calls, some will feel the need to counter that with 'good' of their own. Hence, they will receive donations of money and goods that they otherwise wouldn't have received.

It's weird, but true.
