Jimmy Kimmel updates: Show to return air after suspension over Charlie Kirk comments

The late-night talk programme will resume on Tuesday following "thoughtful conversations", says the entertainment giant.

The Walt Disney Company just announced that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will return to its original timeslot and programming beginning tomorrow night."Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday."

Sinclair says it won't air Jimmy Kimmel on its stations after Disney announced his return

Sinclair, which owns ABC affiliate stations, said it would not be returning Jimmy Kimmel to the air on its stations after Disney's announcement.

Sinclair, which owns or controls 39 ABC affiliate stations, said it will not air Jimmy Kimmel's show after Disney announced on Monday that it would return Tuesday night.

"Beginning Tuesday night, Sinclair will be preempting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming.

What to expect in the upcoming criminal case of Tyler Robinson

The case against Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk, is still taking form as criminal charges were brought just days ago by Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray.

Robinson's next court appearance is set for Sept. 29. Robinson is entitled to a preliminary hearing under Utah law, where the judge will decide if the prosecution has enough evidence for him to stand trial. An arraignment will then follow, and Robinson will enter either a guilty or not guilty plea for all of the charges.
