Students often walk in the neighborhood to get to campus. “We have students who walk by, if I’m doing yard work, the students will stop and say, ‘Hey, you need some help?’ You know, they’re willing to help. They’re really good kids,” he explained.

Because of that, the suspect didn’t stand out to him. “When I looked at my camera, and I first had seen the guy limping, I thought, oh, there’s something wrong with that guy’s leg. I didn’t think nothing of it, but then when my son went through our camera, he noticed it, and he picked up on it right away.”

Private employers have the law on their side when it comes to removing a worker who makes public statements that the business views as potentially harmful, according to legal experts.

"A private company can generally fire an employee for public comments, even political ones, if those comments are deemed to harm the company's reputation, violate workplace policy or disrupt the business," workplace attorney Marjorie Mesidor told CBS MoneyWatch.

WASHINGTON — FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed Tuesday that multiple individuals are either under investigation or have already been interrogated by agents for discussing Charlie Kirk's assassination in a Discord "chatroom."

"Did Mr. Kirk's assassin act alone?" Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) asked Patel during the FBI director's testimony in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

"There are a number of individuals that are currently being investigated and interrogated — and a number yet to be investigated and interrogated related to that chatroom," Patel answered

It's expected that the 22-year-old Robinson will face a capital murder charge for the death of Kirk last Wednesday. After the charges are announced, Robinson will make a virtual appearance in court at 3 p.m.
