I've never liked Two and a Half Men either. I liked Spin City, but before Charlie and Heather. :hand:

I love the show, and therein lies my problem. To me, it's laugh out loud funny. The other guy is the one who delivers the side-splitting lines... and the little boy is a riot, too. But I truly do not want to contribute to Charlie's popularity, so I guess I"m going to have to sit this one out.

I'm shocked that he has a line of kids' clothing coming out. First off, is there one celebrity left who doesn't have a line of something... furniture, clothes, sheets, etc? I think not. It's a bit short of ridiculous. Personally, I wouldn't want any clothes for my child if it had Charlie's seal of approval on it. JMHO.

If the girls and young men in the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 were of age, then it was just so that child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 charges wouldn't be filed on the people involved or on people viewing it. They were deliberately trying to look as young as possible by appearing young and with braids so that they could feed the fantasies of sicko perverts who are attracted by kids. High school and college girls don't wear braids and high school boys aren't the type for normal people to want to look at as in attraction or sexy. To me, anyone under the age of 21 is a kid.
You haven't been to a goth club/rave lately, have ya? The big thing is pleated plaid skirts, knee-high socks, Mary Janes (or outrageous platform shoes), and hair put up in either pigtail/pontytails with the shirt tied off at the waist, usually accompanied by Hello Kitty lunchboxes/purses and a Disney Princess/Betty Boop backpack. Virtually every other girl (ranging between 19-30) is dressed this way. It's called "Catholic High School Girl in Trouble" (after the joke movie in KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE) and it's been popular for about 5+ years. It's considered fetish fashion--right up there with dressing like Naughty Nurses and dominatrixes. The gay male equivalent is dressing in old-school football gear (1960s-1970s style suits and padding--not the Gladiator-style stuff you see on players today) or as cowboys.

Okay, I just spoke with my friend who still works in entertainment and who's very close friend is a former Heidi Fleiss girl. Her friend confirmed that yes, Denise Richards was a Heidi girl whom she used to work with and this is how she met Charlie. I have no idea how old Denise was at the time. As for her appearing in a Seinfeld episode, many of Heidi's girls were actresses doing double duty. I totally believe this as 1. I now have it confirmed by another one of Heidi's girls and 2. I've heard it from too many people in the biz to chalk it up to just another rumor.

That said, her past doesn't mean Charlie has the right to abuse her or anything. However, it does say to me that she had a pretty good sense of what he was about before she married him. She was probably hoping she would be the one who could "change" him. I will never understand that mentality.
I know another Heidi girl who went on to be in popular rock band (she's since dropped out) and she said the same thing re Richards as well.

I think that the show is hilarious, and I hate the thought of not watching. Its one of those that DH and I watch and are actually laughing out loud, really loud. This stinks!

At the risk of getting tarred and feathered here, I must say I wouldn't put too much faith in any document filed in the middle of a contentious divorce.

And as for fetishizing teenage boys and girls, I don't "get it" myself, but I think most heterosexual men will tell you, if they are honest, that a female's "ideal" age as a sexual object is 16 or 17. There's a reason for all the "She's sixteen, she's beautiful" songs. (I believe Ringo Starr was at least in his 30s when he wrote his.)

And admiring the young (late teens or young-looking early 20s) is pretty common among gay men as well.

Again, not my taste, but not uncommon as I understand it.

You know, I used to like the show but after awhile it got boring what with most all of them being about whether Charlie got layed or not. And, they really do get away with saying things that are just downright nasty. Not even Will and Grace go as far as 2 and Half Men do. Even the kid gets into the act. My husband watches it but I don't much anymore.

ETA.... Nova, where did you disappear to for so long? I missed you.

Right on BGG, for crying out loud she wasn't a kid when she married him, knew all that he had done, marries him anyway, has problems after the birth of their first child, THEN GETS PREGNANT AGAIN  Not too smart for a woman her age.

I feel sorry for Charlie's grown daughter, she must have hated seeing his name in the news for so many years.
hate to go against the % here- but I am on this wavelink myself- she married him, she had children with him........and she reconciled with him after the birth of the second child--- I think we might need to hear this one out-- from BOTH sides== easy to accuse- :truce:

AlwaysShocked, I would suggest either "pervert" or "sex addict" as the replacement word, but maybe someone else will have a better idea. Amraan seems to drop by this thread periodically, so maybe she can change the title for you. I think we lose the ability to edit after 24 hours, and then it has to be done by a moderator.
I agree-- I think it was very judgemental to go with pedophile -- these suggestions I think are a bit more fitting-

Seems Charlie's potty mouth has definitely gotten away from him. Here's one transcription of a telephone message he left for Denise:

You're a piece of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 fu-king liar and I hope you fu-king rot in hell. So fu-k you. I hope I never fu-king talk to you again you fu-king c-nt. Fu-k you. You're a coward and a liar and fu-king n*****r alright so fu-k you.
He doesn't sound too mature either.

I hope it's clear I'm not claiming Charlie Sheen is an angel. But sadly, people tend to say a lot of unfortunate things when they are divorcing.

And attorneys are paid to take the worst of that and make court cases out of it. Sad, sad, sad.

My partner and his ex-wife have been friends since high school. They certainly did NOT say nasty things about one another when they divorced. But when the ex-wife's lawyer got in front of the judge, all sorts of things were said. Fortunately neither party blamed the other and they (and I) all remain friends to this day. Must better for the kids and grandkids, IMHO.

-------

As for the show, I agree with posters above who say the heart of the humor is the brother, not the Charlie Sheen character. Sheen's great contribution is being a good sport about basically playing himself.

And as for the kid (who is brilliant, I think), I watch the show regularly and have never heard him say anything that isn't pretty typical for an 11-year-old boy. I might not have said some of those things in front of my parents when I was that age, but I lived with my mother and grandmother. I talked very differently in an all-male environment, such as the YMCA.

Hey, BeeBee! Didn't mean to go away. Just got busy with a new job.

Did anyone catch the entertainment show episodes about Sheen Kids - the new clothing line? With all of those young girls modeling?

When asked why HE would be interested in a kids clothing line he said because he was tired of the kids clothes falling apart in the wash

I'm sorry for his divorce troubles but there is something wrong with this business venture - even without Denise Richards accusations there is something wrong with this. I'm not buying it

I agree, Nova. The brother is a very good actor to play such a dweeb, IMO. And the kid - oh my gosh, I truly laugh out loud sometimes with his little responses to homework issues, etc. I'll call up my friend who's watching at her house, and can barely speak sometimes, we laugh so hard. The 11-yr old boy says JUST the SAME things my 16-yr old DD says regarding schoolwork, etc. Sad to say, but so true, LOL. It's like living in my kitchen sometimes :D

There's something VERY wrong with this statement. I bet Charlie Sheen has never been near a washer or a dryer, let alone been involved with how his kid's clothes make it thru the wash cycle. Combined with the other information we've read in recent days, this sounds like a big red flag to me. I truly think this man needs to get himself out of denial and into treatment.
