Imo the defence shouldn’t have given any closing arguments, they didn’t present anything to this part of the trial so is this all they have that the jury got it wrong? That’s a really smart move telling that to the jury themselves, should have just said nothing.

I don't know but he won a huge case right before the trial began on this one. It had to do with county politicians I think. Judge Smith was also on the bench for that trial.
