Chloroform in the trunk of caseys car

Chloroform was used by Karla Holmolka & her hubby to knock her little sister out so they could rape her. The sister died from aspirating vomit and her face was burned by the chloroform.

When I read "chloroform" I instantly thought of that case. Homolka and Bernadino are the worst of the worst (up there with Bundy and Dahmer).

I wonder if maybe she was doing this to Caylee when she was telling Tony the Baby was with the Grandparents house but was asleep in the trunk. She had to give caylee something that lasted longer then Nyquil or Benadryl. I wonder why she wasn't allowed to stay at Tony's???

I have a horrible feeling that we will NEVER know what EXACTLY happened to Caylee and that we may never find her!
They never found out what exactly happened to Laci Peterson and to this day I still wonder what exactly happened. Scott and Casey would make a great couple,.. maybe they can be jail penpals! :furious:

Chloroform is used to MAKE refrigerant/R-22. R-22 is NOT used to make chloroform. It's not like a cupcake that contains sugar - not a separate ingredient, you know?

On another note - a friend of mine in Sarasota is a geneticist and has mentioned using chloroform to anesthetize drosophila and mosquitoes she's researching. Eek, Florida!

Remember when the Detroit Psychic said that Caylee 'told her' that the man from the car parts store hid her or something along the lines of that. I was just wondering if Chloroform is available in car parts stores having anything to do with air conditioning it could be used maybe for car air conditioners? If what the psychic said was for real maybe she got it from the man at the car parts store.

Ah ha, this is why cindy made that statement on NG last night. About putting Caylee's diapers in the trunk sometimes and Caylee peeing in her playhouse. I thought cindy was trying to explain the DNA, but actually she is trying to explain the cloroform b/c she knew last week about that.

That makes sense!! She did mention that she knows more than the public about the case.

I realize this is a stretch, but I googled chloroform and maggots since I wondered why the maggots in the trunk could survive a high concentration of chloroform. Chloroform is often used to kill maggots according to numerous websites, especially maggots that have infested a lesion. Could Casey have used the chloroform to try and kill the maggots on Caylee's body while it was hidden in the trunk (rather than for murdering her?)

There are specific maggot killing products readily available for purchase. It seems she'd use something like that rather than the difficult to get Chloroform.

Pretty much, we can try to come up with scenarios on how Chlorophome(I know I spelled that wrong lol) *could* manifest or where it could come from accidentally, till we're blue in the face, but it doesnt matter... she was researching it online, theres no explaining that one away.

The day of the search on her computer will tell us if she had done it for a long time to put her to sleep or if she did it one time and gave her so much it killed her as apposed to giving it to her long term and died accidentally. It will be very telling to know.

That would indicate an unintentional formation of chloroform as a byproduct of that process. I guess it could happen. I guess it also could be a byproduct of combining bleach and another cleaner. But both those scenarios would be coincidental occurrences of chloroform.

I could buy either scenario if it weren't for the internet searches for chloroform. Too much of a coincidence for it to have been searched for and then appear in the car where Caylee's dead body was placed.

I have a feeling all we've learned the past few days is just the tip of the iceberg. LE has been exceedingly thorough and meticulous just from the little bit we know of their investigation. I imagine there are going to be plenty more shockers before this is over, and the blitz has started.

They have all they need to charge Casey, IMO, but they're gonna keep piling it on and laying it out there, leaking incriminating info and filing new charges in order to put pressure on her and the family to give up info to help them find Caylee's remains. They've got time on their side and can afford to wait a bit to see if Casey will break while they continue to work with TES to locate her on their own.

I really do think they may have enough to go for 1st degree w/o the body, but finding her would seal the deal. More importantly, I believe they are all totally dedicated and determined to find this precious girl whose own family wishes her to never surface. I'm sure they've all fallen in love with her the same as we have, and that they're just as heartbroken. I pray they can find her.

It's strange because I'm generally a pessimist but I really do think they'll find this body.

I could be wrong, but I think the sedative effects of Benadryl or Nyquil actually last longer than Chloroform. Chloroform is (was) given in repeated doses to surgery patients because the effect wear off after a few minutes.

If it was a family member, then why wouldn't they admit it and explain it to the cops so that they don't suspect Casey.

Don't think GA or CA would throw Casey under the bus over something as "innocent" as researching and illegally obtaining a dangerous and deadly substance.

More than likely it was Casey and more than likely it was used in connection with Caylee's disappearance.

Not to disparage tony at all.. but maybe he just didnt want to be a "daddy".. or he was always busy with school, etc.. and wasnt the most "kid friendly" person... and in casey's twisted mind .. instead of finding a new man, she pulled a "susan smith/diane downs" and decided to get rid of the innocent baby instead.
