Chloroform in the trunk of caseys car

Could George have used it in an attempt to cover up any evidence in the trunk?
(Sorry if this has been asked & answered already.)

This just hit my funny bone, Liz.

Back in my college days one night I shacked up with my (now) hubby in his all male dorm. He told me that one morning he was in the pisser and the cleaning lady came in (he was actually in the showers) and poured bleach into the urinal....before flushing....and it made her pass out (urine combined with bleach).

That just made me wonder if George had sprayed chlorox cleanup or bleach onto the stain in the trunk (could it have been urine???) or perhaps Casey herself did in an effort to clean it up. Waaalaaa....chloroform.

IT WAS VERY STRANGE TO ME when Cynthia mentioned she put urine diapers in the trunk all the time...I mean...why say that? And who the he!! does that anyhow? When you change a diaper you don't stick it in the trunk...you freaking throw it away or put it in your diaper bag. She is setting up more excuses....I can see it now~:furious:

This girl was obviously into some weird stuff. I wish LE came out with their theory 'cause my brain can't fathom this kind of craziness.

They haven't said this was part of their air sample tests have they? Also, wouldn't urine also be present in their samples of the trunk (carpet)?

Yeah, the only thing this case is missing is the auto-erotic asphyxiation angle. Any moment now. lol.

Could Cindy and George used the Chloroform to kill the maggots that was in the car from the "pizza"
I don't see why someone would do that, when Raid works very well and is legal and easy to get.
But if that is what happened, it belonged to George and Cindy, why would there be multiple searches on Casey's laptop. No logic there.

QUESTION - I meant to ask this a long time ago and I might make it a thread. I heard a lot about Casey putting Caylee in the trunk to sleep while she partied... have any of you actually seen this happen?

I've heard of moms leaving children in the CAR too long and them suffocating to death, but the only time I've EVER heard of someone in a trunk was a prank or a very short car ride (where the trunk-rider was a 20something idiot, not a child). Wouldn't a child suffocate due to the carbon dioxide output?? In the trunk just normally??

My brother and sister locked themselves in the trunk of the car once. Thank god the neighbor saw them do it and my mom got to them in time. They weren't even in there a minute and they were gasping for air. (They thought it would be fun to lock each other in there and then let the other one out,.. then they both got in) That was 20 years ago though.
At first I thought maybe Caylee somehow got locked in the trunk on accident, but the whole chloroform thing and the searches for chloroform on the computer blow that theory out of the water for me. jmo

Dangit. I hate to type this, but it may be hard to prove it was Casey that performed the search online. It doesn't matter whose laptop it was. She can claim so and so was on her computer and/or she had it in her trunk at one time only for kinky sex reasons. In other words, this isn't going to be the "smoking gun" IMO.

I just jumped on this thread & don't want to read it yet but have you guys discussed weather or not Cindy would have access to Chloroform....?

she is a nurse & they have it at hospitols
I am a nurse...an open heart one...and we do not use chloroform. It is outdated. Also, Cynthia is a nurse in a hemodialysis center or something outpatient of that nature as well as being in admin/nurse manager. I think that, due to the computer findings....that Casey had been looking up chloroform on her machine prior to this....and the finding of it in the trunk....LE knows if she bought it online or was looking at how to make it herself (bleach plus methane or bleach plus acetone). I also found that taxidermists use it to kill birds before stuffing them...compared to the other barbaric electrocution method they use (ick, ick....double ick!)..

And now I have cloroform in my search history LOL..... I do not plan on killing anyone so I am squared away LOL...

Casey on the other hand was so stupid that she actually looked it up than murdered her child. I am starting to think she really is not all that clever and cunning at all! Just a poor pathetic sociopath that thinks her lies are truths.

but then why search on the internet for it??

Thinking some more, it really makes no sense that Casey would use chloroform either to knock Caylee out short term or kill her. Knock out? No, there are dozens of things easier to find than chloroform. Same thing with killing. There's no reason. As ugly as it sounds, there are lots easier ways to do away with a tiny child.

So, here's my new thought. Casey and/or her car were running chemicals for a kitchen drug manufacturing outfit, one of which was chloroform. Say things went well, except for the big container of chloroform that leaked all over. "What's this in my car?", says Casey and googles "chloroform". Chloroform is pretty volatile. Open up the trunk and let the car sit in the sun for a couple hours, and it's going to evaporate.

But..... but....

A chloroform spill in the trunk could have puddled under the carpet, in the tire well, in all the little nooks and cracks you find in a trunk. So it doesn't all evaporate like you think it did. Chloroform fumes are dense, they will pool in the lowest spots if nothing is there to mix them up in the air. So it may not smell too bad to whoever is driving. Or in the back seat. But a little girl laying in the trunk with no air circulation is going to be exposed to a lot of it. Way too much.

From what seems to be implied in the reports, this wasn't a trace amount of chloroform. The amount you may expect from a reaction between pool shock and acetone. This sounds like chloroform in concentrations of "squeeze it out of the carpet".

I can't buy Casey planning something eleborate involving chloroform and murder. She's cunning, and a schemer. She's no planner. Few psychopaths are.

I dont think it was used to put her to sleep either... and I have to admit that when this broke earlier this evening, I thought the worst! I was shocked, like everyone else... but nothing has been proven yet. And she is innocent until proven guilty... Yeah, she's got big problems, but like I said earlier, after looking into chloroform as more of a drug use, it could make sense. Clubbing, etc... leads to trouble... Sawgrass Apts. might be that link?? I've heard there is a lot of "chatter" in the Orlando area about Dante and drug connections. And what if the Derrick person was involved. Looks like a lot of her friends are "scattering." Besides we keep getting "fed" little bits of information. They are not telling us everything!! I'm not by any means validating her actions, by ANY MEANS!! She is guilty of something, but I am saying that I am trying to keep an open mind, and hope and pray it was not murder!

I know that I am not the majority here in thinking this way, but there has been a lot of speculation, and a lot of twisting by the media, and we are taking it all in as they give it to us, and nothing makes much sense right now...

BTW, I noticed I used quotes one paragraph too far in my last post. Sorry.

I have thought this before but never posted it,.. what if they were using the sawgrass apartment as a drug lab? I have heard that people break in to unoccupied apartments all the time for partying and making drugs. Could this be feasible?

I want to know if the chloroform search had a tag word to narrow the search.
Example for a google, "chloroform" "chloroform meth" "Chloroform amount to knock child out" "Chloroform recipe" "chloroform death" etc etc etc

I want to know what sites she went to. Sites dealing with making, uses, dangers, cancer dangers, which ones.

I want to know how long she spent at each site. It will tell me what she was looking for, and what caught her attention after she went looking.

With this information, that LE already has, I know they can form opinions about what the chloroform was used for, where it came from, and what the intent was. Without out this, we are all just guessing, especially without the body.

Have they released the date that the searches on chloroform were done? If not, the internet searches could have been done after Caylee was last seen. If that is the case, it does not show premeditation. Just pointing that out.
This is hardly the deal that it is being made out to be, IMO.

Clorox on a urine stain in the trunk still don't explain the internet searches for chloroform.

Chloroform: Hazardous Decomposition Products:
May produce carbon monodioxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen chloride and phosgene when heated to decomposition.

Heck, when I heard the word Chloroform earlier... my reaction was wtF? I mean who comes up with that other than drugs? If she was doing internet searching... maybe it was drugs.... her comments like fuzzy red balloons... who knows...

I could have sworn they said the computer was seized on July 16th. So yes, the searches could have been done after Caylee was last seen by the family, but if you're implying the searches were done after that, how would they know to do searches on chloroform if they didn't already know it was in the car?

Doesn't anyone else remember reading murder mysteries (Miss Marple comes to mind) about murder by chloroform? It was thought in the past I believe to be untraceable at autopsy. In fact, I read about Agatha Christie herself once chloroforming (lightly) a hedgehog caught in a tennis net to get him free.

Unless, at the same time the puter and isp logs show that she also posted to her My Space, Aim, and sent emails that can be proven to have been received by others. She would have had to use HER password to log in mail and some of those sites. MSN chats, etc., etc.

She was low on money. She had emptied the credit cards. What if she had a crazy plan to blame Zany the Nanny that she kidnapped the child and would put her in white slavery?
Either she planned on killing her, or it was an accident. She was going to somehow use the chloroform to setup the fake kidnapping. Something went wrong with her plan.

Now Caylee is dead, Casey has no money, Casey is in jail, and everyone knows about Caylee being missing, everyone knows Casey is a liar, and everyone knows Zany the Nanny is not real but a character out of a book.
This is just an idea.
