Oh yes - this is she: Samantha Cole:

...Just his type?...

saw her until he went for Christie who was a better option for him...
I looked at all of her photos at Myspace. You have to admit that she is good looking, fake 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and all. ;)

I think that Peter wanted to be with this girl. If I recall correctly, according to her, he asked her to marry him twice. She turned him down, and the next thing you know he is hooked up with Christie Brinkley, who I guess was his second choice...

Christie was doing him a favor, IMO. She is way, way too good for him.

It appears other people are also repulsed by Diana Bianchi's lawyer Tacopino:

Tacky Tacopina claims another victim (er client)
It’s hard to feel sorry for a philandering husband. Especially when he’s married to a wealthy, beautiful woman. But sleazy media-hound lawyer Joe Tacopina elicits pangs of sympathy for Peter Cook, the estranged spouse of supermodel Christie Brinkley.
I don’t know anything about the problems in the Brinkley/Cook marriage that led to les liaison dangereuses. (snip) But I know that Tacopina’s hunger for personal aggrandizement and publicity have made a sad situation infinitely worse for all concerned.
According to the New York Post the family of Peter Cook’s “victim” hired Tacopina to protect the “child” who was having sex with Cook “in case Bianchi is called as a witness.” By the time this sorry episode is over, Ms. Diana Bianchi’s family will regret ever involving Tacopina and his co-counsel Rosemarie Arnold.
and

Tacopina’s first step to protect his “client” was to splash her picture on the front page of the Post with an “exclusive interview.” Even the “child” felt uncomfortable, but she was comforted by yet another lecherous lawyer, Rosemarie Arnold, who counseled Bianchi to keep talking to the Post after Bianchi stated, “I don’t like these questions.” At least in a police station the questions stop after such a statement. Not at the Post, not when Tacopina is in publicity overdrive.
The Post refers to Tacopina has “high-powered,” but self-promoting and high-publicity would be more like it.
What a slime.

It sounds like Peter Cook was definitely on the prowl back in 1995-1996 (1996 is when he married Christie), and it also doesn't sound like he dated Christie too long before marrying her if the dates in this article are correct.

"I met him when I was 18, probably just turning 18," the now 29-year-old Cole said. "We met on a boat party." At the time, "he was engaged" to someone other than Brinkley. He "offered to introduce me to some people in the music business."

But in the meantime, Cole added, like Bianchi she also took an assistant position at Cook's company.

"He hit on me after I worked there a little while," Cole said. "He asked me to dinner. And I said, 'No, I think you're too old for me.' Blew him off for a while and then he convinced me to go to dinner. He's very charming." Their relationship lasted about a year, she said.

Cole went on to say that after she broke up with Cook in 1996, he popped the question to keep her from walking out. About a month after she refused him, she said, he was engaged to Brinkley.
So he was engaged to someone else when he started dating Cole (which I presume was in 1995... and she broke up with him in 1996... and he got engaged to Brinkley in 1996 and also married her in 1996. Yup, he was on the prowl. And still is.

Where did her parents think the car came from? And did it never occur to her to not accept any of these gifts? TRAMP:razz:

Notice the news is now pretty much just calling her the "teenager" he had sex with!?!?
Like she's a lil teeny bopper! I think she is sly, sneaky and knew what she was doing! Kinda reminds me of Monica Lewinski (sp?)

Well, I'm a little confused... according to her Mom, Christie is:

So, is she doing great, or is she devastated? Myself, I would not be doing fine. It's one thing to find out your husband is a teenie-chasing, two-timing, philandering, no good piece of chit... but it's another to have the rug completely pulled out from under you and your heart broken. So there's heartbreak and there's anger, neither of which equate to doing great.
well stated heart..i think all of us know the place u describe..even if we are wronged and our dignity is stolen..there is still a mix of devastation and anger..u might know he is an SOB-but u are not doing great either..u are surviving the shock of your life so to speak-aint nothing great about it.

A little update:

http://extratv.warnerbros.com/v2/news/0706/20/3/text.html

~snip~
...
Hampton's magazine columnist R. Couri Hay gave "Extra" the lowdown on the $15 million mansion where Peter Cook reportedly carried out his secret affair.

"It's a spectacular love shack," Hay said. "Six bedrooms to play in, I'll bet he used every single one of them in the year."

Diana's outraged mother is blasting her 19-year-old daughter's 47-year-old alleged lover, furiously calling Cook a predator and master manipulator who "preyed on her baby." She told the New York Daily News that her daughter is devastated by the scandal.

....
Now fans around the world are wondering how Christie is doing. "Today" show entertainment reporter Jill Rappaport, who first introduced Christie to Peter, spoke with her good friend early this morning.

"She is doing okay," Rappaport said. "Her main focus is for her children. She's taken them to a place where there are no computers, no phones. She's definitely not in Los Angeles."

As the story continues to unfold, there's one thing Jill says she knows for sure: "I won't be doing any matchmaking anytime soon after this." v

She was living at home? What happened to the car, anyway?

I agree with O'Reilly on this one. "I don't see any legal tort here."

Poor Christie; it's hard to believe she never knew anything was going on.

"They were the perfect couple", have we heard this before?

He does remind me of Scott Peterson; flowery language on his website.

Remind me to fight with my husband in public, and not look "perfect".

The difference between divorce and murder is perhaps just how the husband is doing financially.

As I said before, he looks plastic.

I like a much more rugged, ourdoorsy kinda man. Or as they say 'a manly man.' :p

If he was a model back in 1981, it's hard to believe that he hadn't met Christie before 1996. But I agree... his looks don't appeal to me at all. OTOH, he seems to be pretty eaten up with himself. LOL!

He probably wasn't 'supermodel' status or we would have heard about it before now.

didn't run in Christie's circles back then, but may have believed he ought to.

Apparently Cook was a model at one time, according to this blurb:

At the time she received the hand-written card, Cole was 19 and pursuing a singing career. Cook was a 35-year-old former model and architect who would marry Brinkley just a year later.
Also, Christie is going after this SOB with a vengeance (if you can believe the Enquirer)... GO Christie!

Brinkley, meanwhile, has hired two professional snoops, including Hawaii-based investigator Terry Pennington, to dig up dirt on Cook's philandering ways, according to the National Enquirer.

A source told the Enquirer that damaging e-mails found on the computer are being turned over to Brinkley's divorce attorney. The Enquirer also reported that the investigators suspect Cook may have fooled around with two dozen women during his 10-year marriage to Brinkley.
