'Chupacabra' Found on Golf Course

A golf course maintenance man found something more exciting than stray balls on the job last week.
Tony Potter found a dead, hairless creature that he believes is the legendary "chupacabra," or goat-sucker, on the 14th hole of the Runaway Bay Golf Course. SEE FULL-BODY PHOTO AT LEFT.

Looks like a Chinese Crested (dog breed) to me. Are they sending it to a lab?

It was identified as a hairless raccoon by an expert. Try searching WFAA tv home page. The report is probably still there. Looked awful...turned out to be an anomaly.

Thank you texaslb218. These sightings usually turn out to be mutations of every day animals. Normal mutations but rare.

We just had an incident down here near El Paso where a bunch of chickens were eaten from the coop. The culprit wasn't seen, my bottom dollar on the el paso area case is a coyote. Even if it turns out to be a hairless one LOL!

That is a horrible looking animal- raccoons look much better with their hair. (If I saw one of these hairless raccoons, I'm pretty sure I'd never leave the house! :crazy

Aww, poor little hairless guy. Raccoons are my favorite animal so I think they're cute with or without fur. Definitely cuter WITH fur though
