Cindy & George on TODAY SHOW 10/22/08

They have their basket more full than they can carry right now. I don't think they want to take on a poster with one brother an attorney, one in LE and one a judge. That would be their worst nightmare yet.

:silenced:
I want to be your friend

The mods have said talking about the A's misuse of donations is off limits because it is UNFOUNDED.

Evidence of financial hardship does not mean the A's are misappropriating donation money- as you did very strongly imply.

I Cherish- please provide a link to the mod comments you reference.
I certainly have never seen that statement from anyone from WS staff.
Probably because it is untrue. There was a very specific reason given by Tricia directly, that did not include a judgement one way or the other.

Although I believe it included "thank you for your good work", IIRC.

:behindbar I sure hope the parking lot is locked up and guarded! I wouldnt want the A's in there!

I don't believe that Cindy (or GA for that matter) believe that Caylee is alive. They are just acting that way trying to persuade the public and possible jurors that Caylee may be alive so that their darling daughter doesn't get the DP or convicted of anything. From day 1 Cindy has been in 'protect Casey' mode. She knew from day 1 that Caylee was dead. She is not stupid. This is all an act. She hopes to persuade even 1 lousy possible juror that Caylee could be alive. I don't think it will work. 99.9% of the time our justice system works pretty darn good.

Discovery works both ways....right?

The defense wants the DNA evidence. Doesn't the prosecution get the evidence that the defense has, also? Do they finally get to hear the "compelling" story - or maybe see the picture that was taken in the park... or whatever?
They'll have to hand over the picture if requested.

I'm not really sure what the point of this interview actually was, but I will be writing a letter to the show...and I have never done anything like that before.

It will be a first for me also. I can't stomach the fact that the media is presenting a platform for these people to spew their lies.

Hi, Linda...I think the denial they're experiencing is not denial over Caylee's death at this point. I think the denial is due to not being able to face that Casey really did such a horrible thing...they just can't believe it of her. Once they admit Caylee is dead, they then have to face the ugly, harsh truth about Casey, and they just can't. They also can't face the feelings of guilt (whether rational or not) that they should've done more to clamp down on Casey all along, that they should've taken custody of Caylee, should've never let Casey leave with her....all the "if only" thoughts must be torturous and nearly impossible to face as well.

They're trying to hold on to a shred of their former life, before they learned how devious and horrible Casey truly is, before they realized what they're gonna have to live with the rest of their lives. They want it not to be true, it just can't be...therefore, they are trying to make it okay, to salvage something, anything. So until they can face that Casey really did harm Caylee, they will keep saying she's alive, even though they likely know more than we do about things and likely have known, IMO, since early on that Caylee will never come home alive.

They aggravate the hell out of me with all their lying, but I do feel so terribly sorry for the loss of BOTH their grandbaby and their daughter, and for having to face a truth so gut-wrenching that it's just unimaginable to me. I think they have every right to be supportive of Casey, but they do not have carte blanche to lie to LE and the public in an attempt to help her evade justice, no matter how sorry we feel for them.

Just because Caylee isn't here any longer doesn't mean she doesn't count. Casey had a choice. Caylee didn't. While I understand the A's dilemma and fully expect them to support Casey, they have gone too far with it. They can support Casey without telling lies and spinning things in an effort to thwart justice for Caylee. At some point the truth has to matter, for Caylee's sake. It hurts to see her own family forsaking her this way. I think that's what upsets a lot of people (I know it does me).

George may accept things eventually, once a trial actually proves what Casey has done. But Cindy...Cindy Anthony will never, ever admit or accept that Casey harmed Caylee. Even after she's convicted. Not only would that mean she'd have to face all the pain of this horribly tragic hell Casey has relegated her to...but, frankly, she'd see it as a reflection on her, and she is the type that just can't have that, IMO.

I can just about guarantee that she will go to her grave swearing that Casey is innocent. Other than Caylee, Cindy is gonna be the biggest casualty of Casey...for all the rest of her life. What are your thoughts in that regard?

Okay...that's my post quota for the next few days, and I'll insert my standard apology for length here --> Sorry! <-- :blowkiss:

You are absolutely right, Sherbie. Not only guilt for raising KC to be what she is, but probably also guilt in convincing her to keep Caylee when she wanted to put her up for adoption and forcing her live up to her responsibilities as a mother. And the worst must be Cindy's guilt over the huge fight on June 15 that drove KC out of the house.

I guess she must have worn it again 'cause wasn't she in it sitting at a table with AL at Fusian?

Correct. Wasn't the DJ and the photographer on NG and verified the dates of the pics?

The mods never stated the above! The mods said that the donations are being investigated. The whole thing is being investigated by the proper authorities. We are not to talk aout it until the investigation is over or Tricia gives the go ahead. This has nothing to do with the allegations being unfounded!

<<Now that they have chosen to do whatever they can to impede the investigation>>

I don't understand how they're impeding the investigation. True, CA refused to cooperate with TES, but how are they impeding LE's investigation? GA was truthful (in my opinion) in his interview with LE. Even telling them "I'll be straight with you, I don't like the smell in the car". I'm willing to bet he was honest in his GJ testimony, too. Refusing a lie detector isn't impeding. They gave DNA voluntarily. Only LA refused. And let's not go into that, okay. I don't for one second even entertain the "he's the father" idea. Are LA and CA trying to give LE a harder time? Maybe. But I don't think GA is and I think it's unfair to say they're necessarily impeding the investigation. The only thing LE cannot force them to do is give a lie detector. And that's not really that big of a deal.

Tim Miller, working with LE, was in Orlando searching for Caylee. Cindy ALMOST got him to call off the search by feeding him bogus info about Caylee being in TX. LE had to step in and straighten this mess out.

George strongly insinuated some neighbor kid stole the gas cans from his shed. I'm not privy to what he told LE about this, but from the aftermath, my assumption is he wasn't initially up front with them about what actually happened with the gas cans.

Cindy and the tow truck driver. Cindy saying she heard Casey talking to Caylee July 15th.

A neighbor narced out Casey about borrowing the shovel. Just a few weeks ago, George was giving an interview, where to me, at first, it sounded like he was going to go to the neighbors and apologize for all the disruptions going on, but it seemed to turn into how he was going to give them a piece of his mind about saying/thinking Casey did something to Caylee.

There has been some debate on whether 2 guys who allegedly pushed Casey's car into the Amscot lot even exist. Because of a lot of the antics displayed by mostly Cindy, but also George, I can very easily see them deciding, if they do exist, to keep their mouths shut and stay the he!! out of it.
IMO, this is impeding the investigation.

I believe they need to read VERY CAREFULLY the way the post reads.

This was over my post talking about Natalie's family's good financial position when Natalee went missing and how they did not take money from donations to pay their house payments.

If someone took that to mean anyone else did, then they misread the post.
That is not liable or defamation of character, but upholding Natalie's family's good character.

This is why Turbo is my pal, and if she were not, I would not be on the same thread with her. I read her posts 3x before I get it most of the time and Im always a better person for it. Thank you TT for smartin' us up:blowkiss:

Blink I'm going to risk sounding dumb and ask, "what does IIRC mean"?

By the way, I kept up daily with the threads regarding this topic and I will second the MODS, Thank you. You're work on that issue was nothing short of inspiring.:clap:

I truly wish that the Today show finally realizes that very thing. Caylee needs her voice heard...not this channeling of Casey through her parents.

PS- I couldn't believe that Cindy started talking about Casey, but said Caylee and needed to be corrected by MV. I truly believe that Caylee is the one that's always on her mind...not Casey. Everything seems so forced IMO.

Then I guess we'd all have to worry about the day that Cindy goes after all the bloggers who "defamed" her daughter's good name. Yikes!

No judge in this land would even entertain any lawsuit - first it doesn't impede their life or making a living (they did this to themselves), it hasn't harmed them (they did this to themselves) and there is the freedom of speech. Any lawsuit of this kind would get thrown out faster than it was filed.

AND most blogging sites don't have poster name, address, phone, etc. 95% of blogging sites are anonymous anyways

What fight? According to Cindy, there was no fight.

Wonder if they have a courthouse big enough to fit us all?

Hey.........it would be fun.............I do intend to be at that trial if I can get in with all the press which will be there. I will be going to Orlando just for that even if I have to sit outside and read what is happening inside on my laptop.LOL
