In my opinion CA fits the profile: Histrionic personality disorder, often abbreviated as HPD, is a type of personality disorder in which the affected individual displays an enduring pattern of attention-seeking and excessively dramatic behaviors beginning in early adulthood and present across a broad range of situations. Individuals with HPD are highly emotional, charming, energetic, manipulative, seductive, impulsive, erratic, and demanding.

Eight symptoms that form the diagnostic criteria for HPD:

Center of attention: Patients with HPD experience discomfort when they are not the center of attention.

Sexually seductive: Patients with HPD displays inappropriate sexually seductive or provocative behaviors towards others.

Shifting emotions: The expression of emotions of patients with HPD tends to be shallow and to shift rapidly.

Physical appearance: Individuals with HPD consistently employ physical appearance to gain attention for themselves.

Speech style: The speech style of patients with HPD lacks detail. Individuals with HPD tend to generalize, and when these individuals speak, they aim to please and impress.
Dramatic behaviors: Patients with HPD display self-dramatization and exaggerate their emotions.

Suggestibility: Other individuals or circumstances can easily influence patients with HPD.
Overestimation of intimacy: Patients with HPD overestimate the level of intimacy in a relationship.

Just my opinion.
WOW!! You just described my son's girl firned to a T

LP and CA EACH have their fingers on the other ones button.

Of course, the Anthonys have a LOT more at stake than LP does.... someone has to impress upon them that confrontations borne out of anger/frustration only makes it easier & easier for the public to believe Casey might have trouble controlling herself also.
It sure will be interesting to see how the Anthony family members will cope when the prosecution has them on the stand.

Excellent point.

Always, and to remain ever the consumate victim. Much of this seems presumably to do w/ A's and the defense's determination to do damage control in the public eye, spinning this to the best advantage of KC, preventing the DP, protecting what's left of the jury pool etc. CA's trying to call the shots, employing whatever that may entail--whether hoisting hammers and making threats, or conjuring sympathy as a grieving grandmother, it matters not. JMHO.

"Prosecutors filed their motion the day after a defense report surfaced, outlining why Anthony should not get the death penalty if convicted. The state has not decided whether it will seek death.

In the motion, Ashton cited Orlando Sentinel stories and a news release from Anthony's defense team. He writes that Anthony's family has used the "pulpit" of their search for Caylee to comment about evidence and motives in prosecution. The family contends Caylee is alive.

'In twenty-eight years of criminal prosecution . . . the undersigned has never witnessed such a shameless attempt to sway public sentiment,' Ashton wrote."

I think a LOT of blame for the Anthony's stance must be attributed to the very inexperienced Baez.

He seemed to REVEL in the whole circus atmosphere as soon as he jumped on the Casey train & he did much to help it along.

Bottom line, the Anthonys had NO guidance from anyone experienced in the tragedy of a missing child & they put their feet in their mouth almost starting from day one & only got WORSE over time.

Wait a minute tho, I thought that was Mark NeJames' job... seriously, wasn't this why he was hired by A's? When 'push comes to shove,' the bottom line is CA isn't willing to accept advice, nor about to be restrained, by anyone. And their granddaughter is not simply "missing," she is already presumed dead--and has been for some time. JMO

Well, those people should go to the Sheriff's office and press charges. I certainly would if they did that to me! I don't care what the A's circumstances are, they cannot be allowed to get physically violent with other people! And if LE is in effect turning a blind eye to that, then I've lost a LOT of respect for them. Because you know if the A's were the ones assaulted, they'd be screaming from the rooftops and LE would definitely take action. Pizzes me OFF.

Yes I agree with you and yes the A's have been allowed a LOT more leeway than any other citizen and it chaps my azz because if I had been doing all that assaulting, my can would have been in the slammer. I just do not understand why LE is allowing this to continue.

CA couldn't control the situation, that must have driven her nuts! I want to know why the heck GA keeps tagging along, though.

well he has to because CA has his b*77s in her purse.

Same story with my sister. 5 times suicide attempt, planned for the attention, proven that was what it was for and 3 days later dumped out of psych ward. Now she was suppose to continue with meds and outpatient ...,right we know how well that works. Last time I managed to keep her in for a whole 2 extra days. Once she was on the meds she was no lo longer a danger to herself or others. I think a lot of it comes down to money. No insurance. No service. I looked at my own policy and come to find out if it had been me with my good insurance coverage it would have bought me about 7 days then to outpatient. Of course that is not the same as civil commitment either. The pendulum swings to far in both directions in my opinion. maybe some day we can get a more balance approach to mental health care in the country.
The tragedy of the mental heath system is that the mentally ill are trusted to use their meds properly. I have a niece by marriage who is sadly extremely bipolar. She goes off her meds the moment she is out of a mental facility until she gets so bad she is committed again. This is a pattern that has not ended in 15 years. She got into a serious car wreck (5 people killed). She survived and now is in a nursing home and given her meds, but she still has people smuggling in her drugs. She even told one of my children that she could get whatever drugs they wanted (thankfully that child did not do drugs). She has gone from her parent's care (they moved out of state to get away from her) to her grandmother's care and then to cousins nad finally out of state to a sisters and was finally put back in a nursing home. She is wheel-chair bound after the accident.

Some mentally ill patients should not be in the population. Yet most facilities do not provide long-term care anymore for mentally ill patients. Reagan shut down all the mental health hospitals in CA when he was governor. Bad move imo

I don't think there is a young man in Florida who would WANT to admit that he slept with KC. It would leave him so open to ridicule. On the other hand, I'd love to see some guy come forward and sue KC and the rest of the clan for wrongful death of his daughter.

You obviously have no clue as to the workings of the male ego.

I wonder how Cindy would feel (BIG) IF Zannie the Nanny that she claims has the baby and took her away from her "Mommy" at that Park was the one that threw Caylee into the water there.....but her interference kept her from being found........:waitasec:

I thought that was him but didn't want to assume. He is crazed.

ETA..you may want to remove last name.
Messing with the media would not be a good thing for a man who may not want his past inspected IMO.

Too late for this guy- I suppose there are people who feel like any kind of publicity is good publicity-OR he is trying to endear himself to a cash cow of sorts...

Well...earlier in the day CA went on GMA and I couldn't believe she actually called Casey a victim. In my mind she's a goner.

LP was on CNN and CA has accused him of stealing clothes and beads???

I heard him on the video yesterday saying Cindy said that the female bounty hunter had been in the house for 10 days, and maybe SHE stole Casey's beads! Implying this was all "planted".

LP says "Cindy has a flim-flam excuse for everything that doesn't fit HER story."

I work with the mentally ill, and have never come across ANYone like CA. And that includes the criminally insane.

Also, if CA couldn't control her own daughter what makes her think she can control other people, like the MEDIA and those who actually want to help find her grandchild?

I sure wouldn't want to be her husband, I bet he is living in hell having to put up with her tirades during all of this.

You have never come across a person with BPD to this degree? That is surprising to me, really.

Aside from Cindy's going off the deep end stuff was her choice of accessories. Did anyone else notice her CayleeTM-is-Missing Tote with delicate chain? The black-and-white poster/photo of Caylee was on the front and back with a photo on the side with Caylee's top THE SAME COLOR as Cindy's top!

Has she made a deal with Target for the Caylee-is-missing fashion line?

Sorry if this seems out of line, delete it if you want, but I find it bizarre. No Caylee-is-missing T-shirt... just the bag. A more fashionable way to show her grief?

I'm sure I'm going to get smeared for saying this, but I feel horrible for the Anthonys. They don't know what to do or where to turn, their hearts are broken and their lives are in turmoil. Sure they've both done some things that I've thought OY I wouldn't have done that..but who of us really knows WHAT we'd do in that heart-wrenching situation? Their beloved granddaughter is most likely dead, at the hands of their own daughter, who they also love.

Thank the Lord above I will never have to walk in their shoes.

The whole thing just makes me totally sick. That poor beautiful baby.
