I also felt bad when Tim Miller was treated badly by CA, but then I thought about it. He didnt know her daughter in Cindys frantic worried state she felt it was so important to look for a live Caylee. If he knocked on my door and said my grandchild was dead I hate to say this but I would tell him to take a hike. I am a TES supporter and have donated many times. I know Tim Miller is a great man to do what he does . But if he told me the one person who holds my heart like no other can was dead without showing me a body, I would tell him to leave me the h@ll alone.

But TM didn't "knock" on their door. They called him and asked for TES's help.

A WSleuther had as a quote something to the effect of:

"When you create a monster don't act surprised when all villagers arrive at your doorstep with torches and pitchforks."

Kind of sums it up for me.

In my opinion, these folks were NOT shrinking violets, dodging cameras, saying "no comment"! Right out of the box they went on GVS. We saw them on every news station known to man (even Telemundo, right), giving interviews on their lawn, giving "exclusives", locals were told to "get off their asses and find her", hammers were waived, hoses were sprayed, little guys were shoved off the swale, bloggers were called leeches, parasites and scumbags, squirrels were blamed, rotting pizza was blamed, an innocent person was blamed (in my opinion), we were told "people were being watched", we were told Casey knew who had Caylee, a bounty hunter comes to town on request and bails out Casey, she comes HOME instead of going to a safe house (right to the big top), she says nothing, she goes back to jail and is bailed out again (and goes home again), pictures of Caylee are distributed and "sold", Caseys is on People magazine, 20/20, money, money, money, massive searches are done, and called off, and done again, Casey is called "sweetheart" and "mother of the year" and all the while poor little Caylee laid double-bagged and rotting but a hop, skip and jump down the street. Literally.

It's one of those situations...damned if they do, damned if they don't. There are indepth courses that many corporate company CEO's, Health Care Administrators, etc. take in order to learn how to deal with the media. It's not as easy as it looks. Especially when one has a lot of camera's coming at them. Look at Sarah Palin. She is an intelligent, professional woman and she flubbed her interview with Katie Couric. It's just not as easy as you may imagine and CERTAINLY once the interview is complete....the media edits what they will want to show and it's not always the best parts. Remember, sensationalism sells. Shame.

It didn't so much as "shock" me as it just continued to show the controlling nature that CA has exhibited all along. No one can hold a "public" anything and then announce that this one or that one CAN'T attend. It just can't be done.

IF you don't want someone at a "public" anything than you can diplomatically state that so and so isn't welcome - but to state NOT ALLOWED? What are we as a "public" a group of kids being punished?

I see your point and you are correct. I'm just saying it's not surprising that he wouldn't be wanted. Personally I don't think they should do a public memorial, but when there were rumors that there wasnt going to be one, everyone flipped. I really think it's a no win situtation.

My father was murdered. I understand where you are coming from. If it had turned out that it was someone in my immediate family, I don't know how I would handle that. I do know that I would still love them although I would never ever forgive them, but I also wouldnt air my dirty laundry for the whole world to see. That is what I think the Anthonys are feeling. I think they know deep down and are holding onto any bit of hope that it wasnt there daughter. But either way I don't think they will ever come out to the public and bad mouth their daughter. JMO

I have to say that I am truly saddened and cannot imagine the pain that many of you who have posted in having to lose a loved one by the hands, or by the means of a drunk driver. My heart goes out to you all. What strength you have and my prayers are with you. I just cannot imagine.

Why a public service? Let it be private and discreet.
Because by the recognized rules of etiquette, it is acceptable to place a much larger collection jar at a public service as opposed to a discreet private service?

When the rumors started flying that the A's weren't going to hold a public memorial - then RG and JG said they would have one (and I think LP referenced this on NG) but EVEN THAT was unacceptable to CA - NO, IF there is going to be a public memorial THEN CA WAS GOING TO BE IN CONTROL OF IT.

IMO the A's SHOULD allow someone else to hold this public memorial. They (A's) should have a quiet, private ceremony and go home. This would allow CA to NOT invite whomever she wants to exclude, she would look like the "bigger" person and it would still allow others to memorialize and grieve and say goodbye without all this media nonsense.

Bolded by me... I just don't know how they could think that collecting money to search for a *live Caylee* and not searching would be appreciated! How could people not get upset with them about this? Honestly... at this point it looks like they either funded KC's defense or paid their own bills, neither of which have anything to do with a live baby search.

I know the money issue is a touchy subject, but it does factor in! Just my opinion.

I believe every cent has been accounted for and was used for tshirts, buttons and getting the word out...at least that is what I recall being stated in the media. Any foundation or donating site must account for every cent brought in. What was left over once Caylee was found is supposed to be going to some other "find missing children" charity...and all the toys donated that were left at the scene.

You`re brilliant! :blowkiss:

 I wonder if they claimed all the gift cards for gas, Target, etc ..

It was reported today that they will not see Casey as everything is taped and then played in the media. They still love Casey (which as a parent is understandable...even in light of the horror and henious act she committed. I imagine they are going through many emotions on how they feel about her now)...I only hope that they are not going to still be set in their minds that Casey didn't do this and a kidnapper did it! That would be totally unacceptable, in my opinion. Could someone be THAT much in denial?

I don't think denial has anything to do with anymore. I personally think they will never ever say that Casey did it, even though I believe in their hearts they know the truth. They don't want her in jail even if it's where she deserves to be. If she gets convicted they not only lost their granddaugther but their daughter.

They did not have to bring KC to their home. Arrangements were made for her to stay in a safe house. That alone would have kept almost all protesters away from their house. They were warned by LE about the chaos that would bring to them and their neighborhood. They brought her there because THEY LOVED chaos and CA LOVED her "cameos" on TV.

Oh my. I did not get that impression whatsoever. (that CA loved it all)...as for the safe house, I believe the "deal" was that once her bail was posted by Leonard Padilla that he wanted all the family support and for Casey to be home so they could "work on her to find all the details of the kidnappers"...that was the initial intention. Hence, Casey being back at her home as opposed to a safe house .At the same time, the police would have had to pay for the security and a safe house and I don't think that really was an option on the table. If in fact this was offered by LE and they turned it down, please show me the link.

Nope ..
Casey could have went to a safe house ..

There was NO reason she went home ..
Padilla never once said she had to be home ..

Personally I believe they knew the day they called the police and that conversation that LA had with her revealed the truth. Nobody acted hysterical after that.
I don't think anyone has been in denial since the first day.

I have relatives that reared their children just like the A's and while they will complain about what that child does to them they will will fall over trying to convince you they are good kids when they do the same to others. Their son now 30 beat his girlfriend to a pulp, no charges were pressed though because his parents mortgaged their house to pay her off not to seek charges. Yes, he lives with his parents and beats them too!

I could drone on and on with more of why I believe this but, I don't feel like typing a long reply as I'm lazy today.

I would have wanted her home too. With her there I would be able to question her, watch her, grill her, etc. Things that probably happened behind doors that the public didnt see. You have to remember that even though the evidence is pointing right at Casey, she is still innocent until proven guilty. Why wouldnt her family want to be with her, she was their only hope in finding Caylee.

Me too. Absolutely. Nobody would know my daughter and how to deal with her better than me. I would know if she were lying..or manipulating. Unfortunately, Casey was a much better liar and manipulator and it backfired. She instilled fear into her parents with some cockabulloney story that I don't believe ANY of us yet have even heard, as yet. Not till the trial, anyhow.

Ummm I guess me not working for so many years means I sponge off my hubby :waitasec: Or is it because Im a women:confused:Only a man can be the bread winner

Personally? Yes. IF you were home when there are no more smaller children in the house that needed raised and spent your days gambling online while your husband worked and then you expected he pick up after your debts, came home and did the cooking and cleaning....then yeah. I would feel the same way about you as we feel about George. And when your husband would discipline your out of control daughter and you run to her side to coddle her and intervene as to create one against the other...then yes. I would feel the same way. Remember...this was 20 years worth of nothing that George did. For that matter...wasn't it clear to you that it was CINDY outside hammering in the no trespassing signs? You didn't find it odd that it wasn't GEORGE out there to protect his family? I did.

I disagree. If she didn't hold one and didn't attend then the whole world would complain that she didn't care. We have to remember this is her family, not ours. No matter how connected we feel to Caylee, we DID NOT know her. We only know what we read and hear. There are always two sides to a story and the one that's more shocking and sensational is the one the media shows.

I don't "like" Cindy, but evil? I think she is controlling, unbearable and somewhat wacky, but I wouldnt go as far as evil. When I think of evil, I think about child molestors, serial killers, and people who kill or torture for the fun of it. I think Cindy is not much different then a lot of self centered people out there who need attention and want to be able to control everything and everyone.
I'm sorry I used the word evil, regarding Cindy, You are positively right, & I stand corrected. It has bothered me all night, & I want to rescind that comment. IMO, her incessant chatter, & smothering neediness, is so self-centered, it seemed to obliterate everything else of importance.

When I first heard her last 911 call, my heart broke for her. In the first few days, she exhibited every Real emotion of a parent in this unthinkable tragedy. In essence, she had the World on her side, bringing the attention only to Caylee. And then, she morphed into another personality, blaming everyone, changing her story, etc. She at that point cast a very unfavorable light on herself & her family, & the anger from onlookers, began to rise! :furious:

And folks are assuming they just "went out to eat". Please. No matter...think about it. Who went with them? It's more than probable that they were met by their attorney's and who knows who else in order to sit with them during the media frenzy. I hardly doubt they went to their hotel room got all dolled up and proceeded to go and enjoy prime rib.

I having hard time with the dinner story went down like. That would been in the press. I just don't belive it went down like that.
