Cindy's Deposition #3 *UPDATED* MOTION FILED

I think you're right, and she's enjoying the media as well. Being a narcissist she's all about self, and she could never do herself in. Notice yesterday on the CBS show she stated that "no one knew this" but she had left suicide "note(s)." If a person is suicidal, they will usually just leave ONE note, but she had to ONE UP GA by saying she had left notes (plural). **sigh** Also, not meaning to sound mean by saying this, but I've noticed that she has had her eyebrows significantly enhanced to try to soften "that look." I hope it helps her because carrying bitterness in one's heart will carry over to one's face and.. well I'll stop now. I wasn't meaning to be rude. **sigh**

Bolded - by me.

I agree. I got the exact same vibe. Cindy was one upping George in every way possible. She left more notes. She contemplated suicide before George did.

When she started talking about that I actually felt sorry for her. She just can't help herself. She is pathologically compelled to seize the spotlight at any cost. Wow.

I have been thinking about this part of the depo and I can't shake that there was something about this part that just sat wrong with me...

I believe there were other questions CA found irrelevant as well so there must be something here...

aside from the att. trying to prove that KC did not have the means to be paying a nanny.

Just a wild thought that entered my brain. What if ZFG (the plaintiff) worked somewhere (like a store clerk) where KC used credit card(s) and they are seeking proof. I haven't fully developed this idea yet, and yet felt compelled to through it out for anyone else.

As much as I feel CA's pathological dtermination will keep her afloat, It is typically the people who do not speak of suicide that seem to follow through with their decision. I would worry about those moments during the still of the night when intrusive thoughts are running through her head as I'm sure they do. As long as CA feels she has a mission as a mother she will keep up her unatural energy. Once trial is over I feel is when CA will be the most at risk. They are only human afterall. God bless the child that may enter the world as LA's child. Another child with the goal to make CA happy! Wouldn't the icing on the cake be KC getting pregnant in prison and giving the baby up for adoption. Scary thoughts enter my brain when thinking of the future of the A's.

I think CA saw all the sympathy some expressed for GA when he staged his little attention getting/diversion ploy and she decided to play it herself. I recall once when asking for a postponement of their depos, BC said Cindy hadn't tried to commit suicide "yet". This was planned for the diverson and nothing more.

It makes no sense to me that Casey would have Cindy's credit cards, if it was for an extended period of time. It's such an easy fix to cancel a current card, order a new one, I don't understand why this wasn't done.

He just needs one question to make his point and get her to change her attitude. He could do many depos with her, so he will continue with depos on that day and any other day until he gets what he needs.

Do you mean he can schedule a depo on a different day for each question that she didn't answer???

That's how felt this way from the beginning. He is one of the good guys.

JM and his wife are great people. Read this story if you have any doubt that he likes to help disadvantaged people:

As many as 10,000 uninsured and underinsured children in Central Florida now have a clinic where they can get free medical care, thanks to an unlikely partnership between a pastor and a personal-injury attorney.

"The People's Clinic" officially opened Monday at the Destiny Foundation of Central Florida, a nonprofit Orlando ministry for the working poor and their families. Though volunteers had built the facility more than a year ago, its vibrant, whimsically decorated rooms sat empty save for one day a month.

There was no money to pay for a full-time doctor, nurses or clinical staff. In a state with the third-highest rate of uninsured children in the nation, it seemed a waste. <SNIP> much more at the link -

SFT - In order for CA to cancel the card, she'd have to admit she *lost* it. Giving a date or time would mean that she'd be compelled to report unauthorized charges or take a chance that the credit card issuer didn't investigate those charges made after the card was lost.

CA knew who had the card, or who used it, once the statements came in.

How can they maintain that perfect image if they admit their daughter is a thief. CA would rather be broke than have her illusion damaged.

ITA. She has to one-up everyone, even when it comes to who thought of committing suicide first! It's me, me, me, look at me, look at me. The fact that she had to one-up Oprah made me realize how pathetic she really is.

The holder of a card can tell a credit card company or a department store to place a hold on their current card and issue a new card at any time without any explanation to the card holder. All you have to say is "I have misplaced the card". They don't do any "investigation", they just place a stop on that card and issue a new one.

I thought you could do something like this, it just makes no sense. She was teaching Casey nothing by letting her get away with everything.

I just knew John Morgan was a good man. Likewise for K. Mitnik & Mr Dill. How the A's think they have a right to be arrogant, disrespectful, rude, etc. is really shameful.
Thank you, Muzikman, for the information about the clinic. Anyone even considering a donation to the A's Foundation would do well to reconsider and donate to this clinic. I will be doing just that in memory of Caylee.

I'm thinking Casey could have used Cindy's credit card(s) to purchase items over the Internet. All she would need is the card number, expiration date and security code found on the back of the card.

I believe that George and Cindy both chewed gum at the deop's on purpose. I think they chomped that gum as fast as they could so everyone would notice. To me, it was a very rude way of showing their disrespect for the attorneys giving the depo's. I noticed that they didn't chew gum like that on the Early Show. I'm sure that they knew people would notice the difference in their total behavior on the shows. They act like rebellious teens.

The only problem with that theory is, they chewed gum throughout Caylees memorial too.

So if I try to use a card that has had a stop put on it, the store will just say whoops and let me leave?

No wonder credit cards have such huge charges, they make no attempt to deter fraudulent usage, they simply add the cost into the price structure.

In Sanford Mall a purse snatching trio was caught when they attempted to use a credit card from one of the victims. I guess that's why I imagined it is illegal to use a stolen card and that the companies can trace and prosecute that usage.

This whole case began with the initial charges for using AH's checks.

Where is the outrage from the defense that the wrong woman has been jailed?

Bob Kealing of WESH-Channel 2 asked that question of Jose Baez, who is representing Casey Anthony in her murder trial.

"I apologize if I haven't shown that previously," Baez said.

"I've pulled out all the stops to try to get her the best defense possible," he added. "That's what I'm mostly concerned with. I have to stay focused. I can't get emotional

Is this also going to be George and Cindy's answer,if anyone asks why they haven't spoken out requesting that the 'real killer' be caught?

I've been thinking about this motion and I don't think it came as a surprise to either George or Cindy.

Although at times it appears that BC is either incompetent or unable to stop them from making ludicrous statements or from being confrontational, I think he did advise them that their lack of cooperation during the depos would likely result in a motion being filed that would at a later date compel them to answer.

JMO, but I think they refused to answer certain questions just for the sake of postponement until after they had a chance to do their 'media tour' during May sweeps.

It's just my own opinion as well that neither of them really expected OW to cancel on them even though she had apparently arranged their appearance on her show on the contingency of an 'exclusive' interview.

They seem to feel that they're so news worthy that OW would 'forgive' their breach of agreement with her. I'm sure they're dismayed as well that they were dis-invited to the Melanie Rieger Conference. I don't think, even now, that they can understand or accept that the majority of people are fed up with them. It's not something they're accustomed to dealing with.

All of them seem to have led their lives with a sense of entitlement and they expect it even more now that their daughter is in danger of being held accountable for her own deceit and probable actions that led to an innocent child's death.

This article
caught my eye yesterday. It supports what I think about the Anthonys' attempts to deluge the public with their own version of what did or did not happen during what is a 'prime coverage' in the next couple of weeks.

Again, JMO, but I think they fully expected to be ordered to return to answer the questions they refused to initially answer during the depos. They simply wanted to postpone until after they had the opportunity to confuse things during May sweeps.

One of my best friend's daughter is in college and sometimes wont return her folks calls, so guess what, they canceled her phone service (they are paying for) and cut off her credit cards one evening after dinner, it took 20 minutes total. We laugh about it now, because she picks up on the first ring when dad calls now! My brother has a giant poster board in the pantry of his house, it has a list of actions and directly across from it a column of consequences. Example" Talking back= no computer , etc, etc. Sometimes he just points to the offense and gets a corrected behavior. The only reason this works is he and his wife follow through on the consequences. It seems KC was never given any examples or limits or standards and certainly never any consequences. When you get by with something, the next time you go a little further, feeling emboldened, right? To know that her lying and stealing money from them went on for years unchecked is not even on my radar screen. Character is built, you aren't born with it. It seems they were too lazy or too distracted to teach KC. Could this be why they were so enthralled at a second chance to raise a little child and devote themselves to her? Do they feel a level of responsibility in how far off in the ditch this young girl's moral compass is? Guilt is a powerful emotion, mix that with denial and voila : The Anthony show. This is a cautionary tale.

I thought CA was very co-operative for the bulk of this depo. She began to get frustrated and annoyed only when the questioning attorney started repeating questions she had already answered, and asking questions in a confusing format. She clearly lost her cool when JM started wading in during the later part of the depo and frankly I'm not surprised. She obviously thinks this lawsuit is frivolous (one thing I agree with her on) and tried repeatedly to point out that no one in the A camp had ever said that this particular ZG was the person claimed to have taken Caylee.

JM's behaviour WAS bullying and intimidating. He made a point of reminding CA that the depo was a court procedure and that it could/would be used in court, but then proceeded to badger and bully CA (who is a witness) into a confession of her own 'guilt', as if she was actually in a court room and on trial herself!

I obviously don't know what is permitted in an actual court room in the US, but I know that such intimidation of a witness, and the bullying that was used to get this witness to confess to being 'guilty' of defamation herself (even though it is not CA that ZG has sued) would never be allowed in a UK court room.

No, no, and no, on all counts. Their daughter was given an opportunity in written depositions to state that this is not the ZFG who took her baby. She refused. In US lingo "she took the 5th". Moreover, she had the opportunity to accept a default judgment and put this matter to rest and no one in her family, including she would have been deposed. Once she decided to forge ahead, and sue ZG as well, she put her family in this position. Once they were ordered by the judge to indeed testify under oath, they were under the rules of a civil proceeding which is vastly different and very broad compared to a criminal proceeding. They were there with counsel, an experienced attorney, who absolutely positively knows this. Ignorance to the law does not excuse you, even on a small matter as a traffic ticket, and certainly pretending they don't understand the parameters will not fly with a judge. What you may not realize is this matter already went before a judge, it was already argued over and over again that they should not have to appear and be deposed and the judge disagreed with that argument and found that as a matter of law they should and indeed they were ORDERED BY THE COURT to answer the questions. G and C saying things to the effect of "I am graciously here trying to answer your questions" may be what is confusing you. That is another lie. They tried every legal remedy they could to not be there, but they were ordered to be. In fact, in one of their legal pleadings to the judge they argued that it was far too raw, they were too traumatized to do anything publicly, all the while they had been at the sight of another missing Florida girl's headquarters speaking , (George, literally with a bullhorn). When this was brought to the judge's attention he was none to amused by the Anthonys and he ordered their deposition. I trust that you mean well, but you are very misinformed. It was the Anthonys who were hostile and disrespectful and they told easily provable bold faced lies that contradict their sworn statements given to our detectives and our Federal Agents, that are memorialized on video. They were making a mockery of the proceeding and I can assure you that had they been in front of a judge, none of that would have gone on. If the criminal trial is televised you will notice a distinct difference. What may help you understand the civil proceedings here is go on the net and look up US Civil Deposition vs. US Criminal. I sure wish Brad would have made the Anthonys do so. ZG lawyer, even offered to shut it down so the judge could help them understand his wide range he was allowed since he believed that they had been horribly misinformed. George did not say yes, lets do that because I know I am right and I demand to see the judge about this. That is because sir he knew he was wrong. Without question, he knew. Please don't take offense, if I were following a case in another country I would be hopelessly lost. Even the Florida Sunshine laws are interesting and new to me compared to my state.
