Identified! Cleveland Hit-and-Run Victim *David Lester Blackmon* suspect arrested

Two days after a man’s body was found between CBS Furniture and the railroad tracks in Cleveland, police are still unable to make an identification of the victim.

The white male is believed to have been struck in a hit-and-run accident. His body was discovered around 7:40 a.m. Sunday.

A 21-year-old Splendora woman has been arrested for the fatal hit-and-run accident that took place in the early morning hours Sunday, Aug. 21, in Cleveland. Melissa Mae Davis-Stokola is charged with Accident Involving a Death, a second-degree felony.

The victim in the hit-and-run is identified as David Lester Blackmon, 42. Blackmon’s driver’s license lists him as a resident of Livingston, but he was living in Cleveland at the time of his death, according to Cleveland Police Chief Darrel Broussard.
