Obviously we now know he is male, but I'm curious to see an image/video showing his entire body to see if there's any physiological reason why so many of us got it completely wrong and thought he looked like a woman.

I also think the police should look at unsolved murders/attacks in the other places he has lived, because I'm not entirely convinced this seems like the first time.

Something sparked an altercation between this guy and Mr and Mrs Brink. I wonder if he was off the trail, watching kids and pleasuring himself and was caught in the act? The search of his electronics is going to be ugly, I suspect.

Speculation.

But there's no indication he was ever seen hanging around the playgrounds, picnic areas, etc. where he could watch kids. He was seen on hiking trails.

Every indication is the murders happened on a trail where there was no one else around.

If he really thought he could kill both parents and snatch a child, and run through the woods to his car with her, he was seriosly deluded.

Sadly, the child snatching stories are very familiar: a car drives along a road in an urban/suburban area, draws alongside a child alone on a sidewalk or playground, door opens, child pulled inside, car drives off.

What a stupid risk to take, there's some real psychopathy being demonstrated in this kind of behavior.

I'm not all that surprised the perp has a "normal" career and education. We've seen this time and time again in serial murderers. Psychopaths are able to compartmentalize very well. Ted Bundy, Paul Bernardo, Dennis Rader, Herb Baumister, Rex Heurmann, Bruce McArthur, John Wayne Gacy, just to name a few. All of them appeared to have "normal" lives, their true depravity only known to very few people, if at all.

I saw one by putting his name and Bayyari in FB search. It shows a full-length photo. I see it clearly in that photo.
