Just a reminder that the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 photo in custody is from a sterile, somewhat ideal "set" and not a photo or a remembrance of an eyewitness. He's standing on a specifically marked spot and told to look at the " birdie" so to speak. A tilt of the head, a shade from a tree or a sunbeam drastically can change perspective. Thankfully they got him and more importantly people came forward and gave descriptions to the best of their ability at the time. That is freakin awesome and hopefully helped nail this pyscho!

I don't understand. What photo?

Hat’s off to Arkansas LE!
Job well done!
So happy this creep is behind bars tonight. He would have done something again, probably already had done things.
I agree with others that him job hopping schools is very suspect.
I’m thinking those of you who suspected he was after the children were right.

I thought about the mesh, thinking that would make (God forbid but...) a body perfectly visible, but if the bag was worn vertically, the mesh would be mostly against the back.

And I just have this awful feeling he's done this before; that he may be practiced at abducting young girls. Perhaps not as brazen as this failed attempt, I presume. But it now seems he was prepared, IMO.

Although all his practice could have been in his warped mind. Reality was different.

IMO.

Pompous pile of poop. He criticized LE heavily, now who looks stupid. They made an arrest in three days.

I think this is the photo with the blue background that is probably his driver's license photo.

Reminds me of the Jayme Closs case where her abductor killed her parents to get to her. Jayme was targeted, but her abductor was unknown to the family.

I think? hope? that this was attempt #1 because he made mistakes. Weird, remarkable clothes. Multiple kids, multiple adults, trying to control or eliminate 4 at once is too risky. Your own flashy car at the scene. Going to someone else to change your hair afterward when you could have easily dyed or shaved it at home. Etc etc.

Not the brightest light on the string - thank god. I agree with you, this was escalating behavior. Likely planned but poorly executed.

This article indicates his name was originally incorrectly referenced.

“This story has been updated to correct the suspect’s name. A previous statement from the State Police spelled his name James Andrew McGann. It is Andrew James McGann.”

Cristen Brink's reported comment, "Why are you doing this?" is doubly haunting because AM's job means there is a chance, however small, that the Brink's might have recognised him. A slim chance, but a chance nonetheless.

And he wasn't a basement dweller as I suspected, but someone out in the communities were he lived,.

The frequent moving from state to state bothers me. Teachers are in high demand right now. Why move? And why not move to a state that pays teachers better than OK and AR? It's expensive to move.

Rhetorical question. I think we know why.

I speculate that he couldn't get a continuing contract and that's why he kept moving school to school. The way it often works is that the first year or so of teaching, if it doesn't go well, they don't have to fire you, they just don't offer you a contract for the next year. You have no recourse.

Then after about the third year if you get a continuing contract, they would then have to go through a whole process to fire you.

Did he just get hired in July? That's kind of late to get a teaching job. But people quit for a variety of reasons at the last minute and the principal is left desperately trying to hire someone. So he could get a job, but he couldn't get past the first year.

I get that, but he stabbed two adults to death, which is way beyond creepy soccer coaches, IMO

We are in new territory here, a perv/murderer?
Sounds like creepy soccer coach/ teacher and incel have merged!

So what happens if you are a child perv incel? Maybe you look like this?

“This individual has not at any time come into contact with Springdale students or the families we serve," Cleveland said. "At this time, we cannot offer any additional information due to the ongoing investigation."

Oh my gosh!
He was a teacher!?
When I heard he worked at a school I was thinking custodian, cafeteria manager etc.

I have found older images of him on the web and they don't have that blank stare. What happens to turn someone into a blank stare zombie?

I feel so sad for Clinton and Cristen to be taken so senselessly from this world. Im heartbroken for the girls to have lost their parents in such a violent way.

Im relieved the suspect is in custody.

Dang she said the podcast hurt the investigation. It's a shame really. I get that people want info, but some things are too much too soon and when LE doesn't have a chance to do the initial leg work, it can get in the way.

I think they are blaming the wrong individuals- blaming a podcaster if the public is in the dark??
The proof is in the outcome- Did he go into hiding? No- he went to get a haircut driving the same car!!
LE can’t say the public was instrumental and yet people had tips and no place to share them?
The people who shared tips with LE- did they go to the public and did not know they were not supposed to do so? That sounds like a public information issue!

The tip line was bungled- people were being dismissed. That is on LE- not the public or a podcaster.
If LE does not provide info to the public- no presser until Day 5, someone will fill the void.
No one had any info out until six hours after the murder- even people still in the park had no info.

The Sheriff for the county should have come out and spoken to the public, that is what you do when a murderer is at large… and he isn’t caught for 1, 2, 3, 4 + days.

It is the sheriff that will be held responsible for the public being confused, feeling unsafe, feeling a lack of transparency.

So ASP can rewrite history and say they were on it all along… Nope they didn’t get to the scene for too long and did not get an alert out to the public until late Saturday night and they blamed that on it being a ‘rural location’ with rugged terrain.
The park is 45 min from Fort Smith- not two hours by wagon through mountains and snow.

It would be helpful for LE and Public Officials to remember they work For the public. So if the public is unhappy- they better figure out how to make sure they are. That is simply the way a representative democracy works.

Let’s hope the investigation leads to successful prosecution of alleged suspect and the perp who did this finds himself in a permanent cage.
And- if this guy has a history of predation- which is my guess he does as a perv late twenties.
Someone missed the boat- why was he ever hired at a school?

IMO
