I'm in the UK where rugby is pretty popular, and it's a very easy sport to get injured in even at the lower levels (my cousin had at least one surgery for a severely broken bone as a kid, for example). I went to the women's Oxford v Cambridge game a few years ago, and one player was knocked unconscious and another dislocated her shoulderI read that he graduated from college in Oklahoma, I can’t remember if it was Oklahoma State or University of Oklahoma.
Both have rugby teams, so maybe he played in college after high school.
Someone wondered about head injury playing rugby, yeah I think so. I don’t know a lot about rugby but I’ve played flag football and even it can become a contact sport. I can’t imagine rugby.
IMO
Those kids are middle schoolers now, they have access to their own electronic devices and will see the new themselves. All of the parents at the Texas school where he taught got a letter from the school describing what had happened, and that counseling would be available to anyone who needs it. The text is in this link below.
Don't forget that kids will also hear these stories from older siblings, and other people who are around them.

From the cut hair they would be able to get only mtDNA though. Not the unique profile that comes from nuclear DNA.Great that he was getting a haircut and so some of his hair would be on the floor and LE could take it to do DNA testing. They wouldn't have been able to get a hair sample for DNA once arrested.
Those cold, dead killer eyes IMO.
Was in my area of Colorado since the early 70’sI'm in the UK where Rugby is common in schools, but is it a common sport in schools in the USA? Or would you need to attend a more specialist school to play it?
Yes, the players get hurt. In the four years my son played in college, there were definitely injuries on the team and at least one player got a concussion.I'm in the UK where rugby is pretty popular, and it's a very easy sport to get injured in even at the lower levels (my cousin had at least one surgery for a severely broken bone as a kid, for example). Also, if he'd been read his Miranda rights.Depending on the circumstances of the admission (like if it was made without a lawyer being present), I assume the defense could try and get it ruled inadmissible in court?
Are you just saying here that his lawyer may decide to use TBI (ie the Richard Allen kind with quotes included) as a strategy or are you saying there's actually reason to believe he has TBI?It is haunting how deeply *angry* his expression is in so many pics. Im hoping those who've known him before his teaching years will find Websleuths and give us a glimpse of his earlier years. He seems like such a loner but may actually have a rich "other life" in his mind or online. The report of his cold clipped one word answers to parents of students who tried to converse with him might indicate he was *somewhere else" in his own mind while working.
A man assaulted me once at a Walmart & the stare in his eyes was like he was playing a video in his mind & almost unaware of even being inside a Walmart store. He turned out to be BTK the serial killer (i was soooo lucky that day) and he later said that's exactly what he did in his mind when stalking each woman. I'd like to know if Andy McGann fantasized so much he was nearly dysfunctional at his schools and also what happened that made him walk around so angry and off-putting. Angry to timid might be a regular pendulum swing for him? Keeping company at lunch with little girls in his classrooms might be his "social scene" comfort zone and if so, yeah, I'm guessing we'll see his attorney come out swinging with a tbi defense. It could be why he cant/hasn't been able to keep a job more than a year. There are tons of ways in which tbi can render one incompetent in each of the jobs he's had.

RSBMThis is going to turn out to be really bizarre, IMO. Even more bizarre than it already is.
Really good point about testing the hair for drugs.I’m thinking he may have been hyped up on something? He worked himself up to carry out a diabolical plan and it went wrong and he lost it?
Of course I’m thinking the who was random, but the goal was premeditated and that goal was not murder. Jmo
Many professions require drug testing, teaching is not one of those professions.
We do know they have plenty of hair to run tests, and likely took cheek swabs, and blood.
This info probably won’t come out until trial.
I’ve worked with people who suffered an intense trauma, spouse killed in a car accident, and their affect became flat- they looked right through you. Reactions were abnormal if at all, and slowed down to a processing crawl.
This state seemed where he was at the hair dresser, which is completely opposite of what I would imagine during the murders.
I’m confuzzled for sure
IMO
I was thinking the same thing.

The guy had no curls when he walked in. His hair was combed down his forehead.
In his second (curly haired) mugshot he looks like he has scratches on his nose and forehead (or it could be a rash).
Aha. I was thinking he didn't want to sign his name at the salon reception desk because he didn't want to give that information. But maybe he just didn't want to reveal his hand injuries. He could, after all, use a different name. DREW has experience with that, right ANDY?Hands in his pockets entering the barber shop trying to hide his cuts.
