It does seem something more than just simple coincidence, that his victims had 2 little girls in this age range with them.

And I don't think it's a coincidence we have a father who fought to the death for them as opposed to deescalating and getting away. Something serious happened that triggered the fight, imo, and I think it was the girls' safety. Perhaps the dad was ambushed without warning, but I'm thinking there was a confrontation where the father was literally protecting his kids from a predator/creep. The attack on the mom was to get rid of a witness, imo.

If there's something we aren't being told or cant be told just yet, then they probably need to wait to say some of this stuff. I'm not even suggesting he might not be a pedo or a future pedo. I'm just stating these outlets are trying to gaslight people into thinking he passed the threshold where we can accurately draw the conclusion he targeted the girls. Maybe he did but for the love of Christ nothing we've learned so far indicates that at all. This dude is a and nobody is going to worry about defamation here but that's not the point. We need to understand why this stuff happens if that's even possible and jumping the gun and confusing the issue is not the way to do it.

My guess is that a good way might be to create a national data base of teacher employment history.

This data base would include not only firings for cause (very cumbersome to fire govt employees for cause. In heavily unionized states, it can be near impossible) but.... would also include:

- Terminations via "contract not renewed"
- Cases where the teacher resigned

Ideally, the teacher's name is entered into the data base during pre employment screening. The administrator can then see that "Teacher McProblem" has a clear pattern of sudden resignations, contracts that were not renewed and maybe even a termination for cause.

Teacher McProblem is then not hired..... .

Absolutely, for events that happened during a 5th grade class 2022-2023
These little girls would now be 12-14 years old.

That is an age where they are beginning to understand how creepy it was, and likely are quite confused. They may have even come home and told their parents they liked him, he was their favorite teacher. Now they are realizing why they were given candy or Sonic drinks.

I would be curious to find out if TJM used his cell phone during class, took videos of kids or pictures of kids. Some schools have internal social media- left over from covid, so the parents can get an eye into the classroom during the day.
Did he post things there? And take other images/ videos for his own use?

Remember he murdered two parents of little girls, who were in a remote forested area of a park without cell phone access. He was dressed in all black, with a knife, and had a duffle bag that in my estimate is three feet long and 1 foot wide.

It was difficult for the boy but by eventually telling his mother what he witnessed between AM and some little girls, he established an eyewitness account, not just hearsay.

I appreciate that the mom did report these incidents to the principal.

His license should have been red-flagged pending that investigation but of course he fled to multiple schools in various states.

There is a system in NYS where something like this stays on your record, but as he kept hopping around to states that had no record, he was rehired elsewhere.

IMO, to look away and assume that “nothing really happened yet” is akin to seeing a fire in the corner of a room and deciding to stay, do nothing, and wait to see if the fire becomes all-consuming.

These are chances that should not be dismissed. Safety FIRST.

How AM crossed from inappropriate behavior to murder is an enormous step that I don’t yet understand. Maybe it was indeed to get the daughters, but as of now we don’t know enough about his motive.

I am sure that will be forthcoming.

ETA: I do recognize that there are false allegations at times, and it could ruin someone’s career if he or she is innocent. My main point is that these inappropriate actions by AM were witnessed and overheard by several sources, so IMO it’s not just a kid who didn’t like the teacher and made up a story.

A national system would help but we all know that the Federal Government is very reluctant to take on these responsibilities. But what different state do have access to is the other States teaching status. That does follow a teacher and the current hiring state is responsible to check these things as part of their background check.
Unfortunately if no one reports anything, nothing can be done. I still think I’m side of having one distant camera in each classroom. Other professions handle their jobs just fine with cameras. I worked in pharmacy and was thankful we had cameras to protect us. These cameras / footage shouldn’t be used to live monitor but only viewed when an incident is reported. Am all for having a safe environment for our children. And yes, raising teachers salaries is a start but schools districts everywhere are have a hard time getting levy’s passed and many have a hard time justifying taxes for education.

Former FBI and CIA Agent Tracy Walder discusses how this “passing the trash” of teachers is a nationwide epidemic and she explains the desperate need for laws to stop troubled teachers from simply getting jobs in different states.

The guest speculates that the perp killed the parents because he planned to molest (but not kill) the daughters. He did not have regular access to children during the summer break.

Five years ago, Tracy Walder herself reported a male teacher at her daughter's school, which was in the same Texas district where AM worked. She met a lot of resistance. That perp turned out to be a child predator and is behind bars now. Incriminating materials were found in his possession. We'll see if something similar happens here.

He has had five different employers in different cities which are hours apart, in the past five years.
This means he moved, these locations are hours apart, and in three different states.
Maybe he doesn’t leave a trail other than work history?

- murder for hire
- robbery
- drug related
- mental illness
- eliminate witnesses to a crime

One press conference, LE was closed lipped before the arrest and is staying closed lipped.

I haven't read everything, but in the beginning, the only source I saw using that word was the Daily Mail, and I tend to see them as rather sensationalizing sometimes. Maybe I'm behind on LE clarifications - I did not get to watch the press conference.

I’m not sure I’d call an interview with a former FBI/CIA Agent random speculation.
All of these have speculated that the girls may be part of the motivation.

Not sure I really buy into that, sorry. Not that it matters. Its just a horrifying event. In the presser, LE said there was nothing to suggest the girls were targeted. So who are we to believe?

One clue, imo, is that his face was beat up and apparently his hands had injuries as well. Maybe the hand injuries are from his own knife, but the face injuries were likely inflicted by the victim(s). imo

I think it was a fight, not an ambush, imo, and the perp had a knife so he "won."

So, what started the fight? Why would a father on a nice outing with a nice family with a nice job to start in a few days fight in the woods? To protect his daughters, imo.

With no facts to back this up, I envision the family perhaps picnicking or pausing at a nice spot where the kids played. The park offers more than non-stop hiking - and I think it's possible the perp found the kids playing. Did he pounce on, lure, or watch them?

Here are some quotes by the family. These quotes were provided prior to the arrest. No further comments have been made by the family since the arrest of JM. My experience is that apparently, news articles share information among each other.

You may want to look up the presser for additional info.
