Clinton David Brink, 43 & Cristen Amanda Brink, 41 found on trail - Devil's Den State Park, AR- 26 July, 2025 #3 *Arrest*

The most obvious is use of a knife as a weapon with multiple wounds in both cases. The extent of Katie's wounds, the obvious overkill, might be a result of intense anger.
Then in both cases the victims were ambushed by the perpetrator who was lying in wait. And in both cases the murder occured in a location frequented by runners.

ETA: As for smoothiness, I've seen a lot of dumb and sloppy criminals, avoiding capture for years only because they were lucky.

As they have his DNA now, if he was sloppy then some unsolved cases may now be solved.!

I was thinking, how did they know what the knife looked like?

Nancy Grace was not speculating with an expert, she said
“And there has been reports that it is similar to a Kohberger knife. We don’t know that yet, but we are trying to find that out.”

Evidently the little girls saw the first attack on their father- they saw the knife
Press conf says- collected a cache of knives at his residence
And Items shown in the photo were also collected

Show the knives from his residence to the little girls?
Check all of those knives for evidence of human blood?
Ask the ME about stab wounds and what kind of knife caused them?

Probably correlate all three of these

If there are true, he didn’t plan or cleanup very well- disorganized.
- visible blood in car
- drove around for three days seeking a place to cut his hair, walked in but would not sign in??

This means hair salons/ barbers called in and said he had been there!
Wow, not sharp pencil at all. Not sure he has lead and absolutely not in the box!

IMO
Very strange that in 4+ days with a 6 hour head start in the beginning he made no attempt to clean the blood in the car and no attempt to hide the car, or to flee the area and state. Or to stay clear of public places.

Absolutely my thoughts!

What does that indicate?
- first violent crime
- not very bright but graduated college
- mental illness
- substance abuse
- desperate in some way

I don’t know

Wanted to get caught?
Used the same methods before and it worked last time?

If this is not his first violent crime is he learning? If this is learning- he should already be in prison.
I think he is learning with his grooming practices!

I think it is both, not one or the other, but the mom- Cristen, didn’t take her daughter to their car or to the visitor center.

The mom moved the girls to a safer location away from the guy who was fighting with her husband- how far that is, we don’t know.
She then told the little girls to run as fast and far as the could. Those are the words given by the dispatcher on her interview, she took the call and spoke to the little girls. I heard her tell the story, breaking up crying as she did.
I suppose then is when she went back to her husband.
The little girls ran, the dispatcher said the told her they did run until they could no longer hear their mother screaming.
At some point they must have stopped and cried, thinking she would come for them.
A hiker came by and took them to the visitors center.
Please provide a link.

Spiraled out of control that his entire life is literally a mess. I bet the inside of the house, even though he just moved in, was not well kept.

It's like he cannot take care of himself or manage life as an acceptable adult.

So he destroys and leaves a mess behind him.

Crime committed on July 26. Perp caught July 30.

That is impressive police work, especially considering this was a random attack, stranger-on-stranger, in a remote location.

Well done.

Yes, in the beginning I worried that they might not find him and the case would linger for years, as in the Delphi case.

There is no 911 dispatcher phone call either of these News Nation interviews with this you-tuber. Only his account of what took place.

The you tube channel is not approved so it can’t be linked… I think.

I found it by searching that man’s name and devils den.

Here is a link to the 911 call released by ASP. It may be more helpful for discussion than the dispatcher interview floating around, since that interview was posted on a channel we can’t link here. This audio is directly from official sources.

He kept his left hand in his pocket in the hair salon (hiding injuries) and apparently he covered scratches on his face with makeup.

SBM. "There has been reports" to me indicates that NG doesn't have her own source. I don't recall this info being in MSM. There were two youtubers (not approved here) with connections to insiders in this case so far. I have no idea if NG's info came from them. It could have been someone else's speculation taken as "report". I wish NG gave credit to sources.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed> there were also real problems during this investigation.

1) It took 6 hours for LE to announce a crime occurred and that a suspect was out there. These first few hours are crucial. Nobody is suggesting they need to immediately notify the public right after arriving at a crime scene.

But 6 hours? There was a double-murderer on the loose and nobody even knew there was a murder. But LE knew. The public does need to know this sooner, the locals there.

2) The tip line was down / not answering consistently. For days. That is not acceptable.

Maybe it was a difficult problem or the phone system was overloaded. It took 2 days to provide an online form as a workaround to providing tips. I could've spun up an email address and host in an hour, just say the word. They didn't provide email (to my knowledge) until much later.

Especially considering this ended up being stranger on stranger, tips are even more crucial.

I'm glad this dangerous man is caught. LE can also do better and there's no shame in demanding improvement.

I stated here that I believed people were not given enough info to help them act and feel safe.
Asking questions when there is no info is human nature, and the public is always going to do that. I trust LE, have family who is LE. But I don’t blindly trust anyone. And I protect me in my home.
It isn’t that I think I could do a better job or that I think they are stupid. They aren’t providing me security and without information I do not know how to keep myself safe.

In this situation six hours went by and AJM was at large. Then it was Day 5 when he was arrested, then a press conference happened.
LE has to balance what they tell the public, I get that. Still, people need to know how to protect themselves.

I may be sensitive due to this case of a prisoner at large a few years ago in Texas. It was terrifying.

Gonzalo Lopez- Escaped during a bus transfer near Centerville Texas, May 12, 2022. Was observed and videoed by a family as he ran across a field in all white. He disappeared.
Three weeks later he was killed 250 miles away in a shootout LE- June 2, near San Antonio.
I understand LE was reluctant to share info that may tip off or ruin an investigation, but it was so long people did not know what to do. It was terrifying.
While at large he broke into a rural home. Killed a Grandfather and his four grandsons.

Your thoughts
