Devils Den homicides more random than is usual at federal parks

Seems like a heavy-duty duffle bag style backpack....with little or nothing in it.

Why did he need that?

IMO that's a lot of clothing to be wearing if you want to look like you're hiking in the weather that Arkansas and most of the rest of the country's been having in the past week. I hope someone comes forward and remembers this 🤬🤬🤬 for how overdressed he looks.

I'm so happy they have a photo of him, even if it's only from the back! He looks recognizable, hopefully someone comes forward. I apologize if this has already been discussed, and maybe it's too early, but I can't help but wonder if any unsolved cases could be connected to this person.

That shirt looks vaguely familiar. Not that exact one, but imo it looks like the kind of thing that outdoor apparel companies put out. Also kind of like the WPA style National Parks poster designs. Not that this is wildly helpful, but if the design led back to somewhere like Grand Teton or Denali, vs somewhere closer, that's interesting imo.

At first I assumed the photo was a model posing to show the public what to be on the lookout for. Now that I see that its his actual photo, he looks very slight, and overdressed. Also some descriptions said he wore a red cap, but this looks grey. I hope he is apprehended soon.

I'm hopeful that this one photo from the back will help others who were on that trail to spot whether he's in any of their photos. Then the police would have even more to go on.

I can’t imagine him attempting to abduct a child and spirit them away in that duffel bag.
It’s too small for any child larger than maybe a two year old and then you’ve got to control them while you get away. Of course that’s after you kill their parents.
Very strange.
The Night Stalker put a 6 year-old girl in a duffel bag and went undetected. He returned her to her home the same way.

I hope so. But, I'm having flashbacks to the video of Bridge Guy in Delphi. There was confidence that someone would surely recognize him. But, nope, nobody ID'd him.

Fingers crossed this case develops differently.

I think this will be enough for someone to recognize him. Relatively good resolution... can see the back of his head and his general body side and structure.

Looks like someone sewn the arm straps from an old backpack to a duffel bag.
Some duffel bags come with both types of straps. I actually recently got one that specifically came with backpack straps:

That is exactly where my mind went when I heard he had a large bag. Child abduction
I can’t think of another motive, meanness, mental illness?

Of course, we don’t exactly know BKs motive either but one can speculate.

IMO
Yes, and even if the bag wouldn't work for a child abduction, we can't assume we're dealing with a rational person. He might have THOUGHT it would work.

I can't shake the idea the girls were the "target." Not those girls specifically, but in general. speculation

The way that backpack or daypack strap comes together in the back is a unique feature. If you search backpacks, daypacks, hydration packs, tactical packs in black and scroll through them you will be hard pressed to find one just like that. I'm wondering if that could be a path toward locating if it could be identified and sales records obtained.

I wonder if he had stayed secretly overnight in the park? Had all the clothing to sleep in/on?

  • #393
He looks like a younger man based off how he looks from behind. IMO he looks like he'll probably end up being 23-30.

Yeah, I thought it looked like a graphic with mountains in it, so possibly another state/national park?

That outfit is strange. Maybe some kind of trafficking deal gone wrong. Lots of trafficking in my neighborhood by ordinary looking people. Maybe he planned on picking up something but didn't want to hand over the cash and wore all those clothes to prevent leaving forensic evidence.

Leading to the question - does he hang out in state/national parks on the regular? Is he a regular at this park (I am thinking he is).

jmo.

It does look like two separate bags or a dual type backpack/duffle bag.
Utility duffle type bag and backpack.

Regarding the suspect picture. The bag reminds me of a rope bag for rock climbing and the shoes almost look like rock climbing shoes (they could be trail runners??) I don’t know if it helps any?

All IMO.

Reposting. Cant help myself. Someone knows who this person is.

This is the person of interest in the murder of two parents in Devil's Den State Park in Arkansas.

Is he standing at an edge? Looks like it drops off. Did he turn away from the hiker/photographer to shield his face? Or was he... let me out this delicately... responding to a call from nature? Otherwise, why was he stopped? What was he doing?

How did the perp know that the father wouldn't be armed? Or was he? Perhaps he ambushed them or attacked as he was passing by.
