I think I could recognise a family member, colleague or strange neighbour in a photo from behind so here’s hoping somebody comes forward regarding this.

Im always wary of sketches as I don’t think they always turn out to be helpful they often turn out to not look that much like the suspect - these drawings are based on from what we know witnesses going past the suspect - it’s very hard to remember all features when just seeing somebody for a matter of seconds.

I just hope if people think they recognise him from behind - yet dont think the person looks like the sketch they still come forward. Trust your instincts!

Pretty close considering it’s covered. I thought it was a Nature Backs (a Fayetteville, AR company) shirt at first however all of theirs have words at the top including mine.

Locals who live near the park stated to the media that LE has not contacted them about their outdoor camera footage.

Looking at the sketch now, after seeing the photo, you can see the witness did notice the backpack/duffle over his shoulders. That stood out in memory.

A guy wearing a backpack on the trail doesn't stand out, but this guy and his attire stood out.

That single-piece shoulder strap on the backpack looks kind of similar to the one on some of the Osprey Daylite models.

Yeah, kind of looks like a cheap Osprey knockoff, but without shoulder strap airflow holes like with the Osprey bags. Duffle looks cheap too, like he bought all this kit at the Salvation Army store. The pants don’t fit either.

My condolences to the family of Cristen and Clinton Brink. I hope they and their loved ones get justice and I am glad their daughters were able to get away and were able to reach and get help and safety from the Visitors Center. I am so sorry for their loss and what they had endured.

I was wondering the same thing too. I wonder if there was a trail below? For example, I thought it looked like maybe there could be one or two people further down to the left of him. To be fair though, the image is blurry and it could just nothing but my own imagination or poor eye sight getting the best of me.

I also wonder if that time the photo he was taken of he was looking down at a phone or camera? I wonder this mainly because I tend to my hip like that when standing while scrolling or looking through my phone or device for a few minutes. Maybe such a device would also be remembered by potential witnesses, other hikers or recognized by those who may know or be familiar the suspect or trigger the memory of someone who once was. Just my own speculation.

Other than the dark clothes he’s wearing maybe he’s wanted to avoid ticks and mosquitoes by wearing long pants and long sleeve shirt. Better yet hiding an arm sleeve of tattoos? The (light?) weight jacket/coat looks very off. Interesting there's been no water that’s been noticed as of yet. jmo

It’s similar, but I don’t think that’s it exactly.

The left side of his shirt’s image has a very round area that reminds me of a ripple in water. North Face stuff is expensive and he striked me as a bargain basement guy.

I think it’s a logo. I can see the strap on that shoulder pretty well.

Don't think the killer was after a child. IMO husband may have inadvertently stumbled upon the drop and was examining it when the killer arrived. Killer had no option because he couldn't allow someone to take the drop, notifty authorities.

I see a feminine posture/stance, as if this were a young woman pausing at a trailside verge to check her phone and view the scenery.

How big is that long-sleeved T, 4X? It's so, so long.

Incredibly thankful this photo was located and released.

I noticed the same thing: no sense of masculinity. Like an older woman with short hair.

Of course I would HOPE that LE would go door to door, even in a remote area like this. However, the did broadcast an request for anyone in the area to check cameras etc.

But we know that not everybody will necessarily see that request.
