All snipped.

I agree with your observations.

Was this the perp, before his attack, surveilling the trail below to either select his random victim to kill or abduct, or to wait for the Brinks specifically?
This picture was reportedly taken by a witness. I feel like LE have a treasure trove of info. they are not revealing. Good - . Likely means they are honing in on some one.

Yes.

It's possible this is just a small part of a larger photo of something else the person was photographing.

It's possible the guy had his back turned because he didn't want to be in a photo.

It's possible this is a still image from a video recording.

For sure, it was not photographed to document a killer watching his victims.

GHI used chat gpt to try to identify the car's make/model from the surveillance video. It gave him an Audi as the best match, which is weird, considering that some people speculated (based on clothing) that the perp was cheap.

It's unusual that they didn't mention eye color and approximate height of the suspect in the official appeal, although they are likely known to the authorities.

Are you sure that's unusual though? Sometimes they don't reveal too much, especially when requesting and gathering more info from others so as to not be "leading". All these factors can be used later at trial... OR thrown out. They have to be very very careful when gathering witnesses.

Also, some info is intentionally withheld or removed from public view very early on because there are things that *only* the killer would know and maybe one or two others. This guarding of info is necessary for the integrity of suspect questioning and also later at trial.

Yeah, kind of looks like a cheap Osprey knockoff, but without shoulder strap airflow holes like with the Osprey bags. Duffle looks cheap too, like he bought all this kit at the Salvation Army store. The pants don’t fit either.
The cap looks too small, too. Actually surprised it didn't fall off during the attack

The first time i saw closeups of his feet, I also had the impression his shoes might be too large for his feet. Meant to leave false footprint size just maybe?

Did the perp choose the park because of its sinister name?

ADMIN NOTE:

We don't have time or staff to go through another 16 pages of posts to clean up any speculation that race could be a factor.

When almost 40% +/- of the US population is non caucasian, chances are that any case may involve someone, whether victim or perp, who is non caucasian.

Do NOT speculate on race in any case unless LE indicates there is a racial component involved.

Maybe it was small on purpose so it'd be tight and less likely to fall off or get pulled off?

Height and eye color aren't details only a killer would know.

Very good. The top looks exactly right, with the piping and handle and ID slot. I think you are right about where the stripes fall.
XXL Hockey Duffle- Absolutely terrifying. That man was out to take a child 100%. The children were saved, but the parents paid the ultimate price.
*my opinion.
I played hockey w/bag, of course. Kids the same. The youngest child is 7. I just cannot see stuffing a 7 (or 9) yr old in a hockey duffle bag with the child struggling and screaming and with parents.

Not only no customary hiking dress (who would dream of hiking Arkansas woods in that get up?), but also no exaggerated "Rugged Outdoors survival expert" look either.

Nor does he look tacti-cool:

No actual military issue or military style gear packs, no say visible larger than needed fixed blade knife, no camouflage, surplus military cap, and no apparent belt pouches for cool "this and that" stuff such as a first aid kit replete with EMT scissors etc.

Thinking the wanna'be military / SWAT / fantasy "Merc" possibility could be fading.

@arielilane

Wow, now that you mention it, the stance coupled with the possibility of fuller hips does seem vaguely feminine. Though I can also respect @stormymama not getting any feminine vibes from the person.

Honestly, and going waaaay out on a limb that is creaking and breaking.....

This perpetrator looks similar in regards to ambiguous masculine verse feminine stances, weird cobbled together "gear" and vague vibes of not being comfortable with their "stuff" as the person who murdered Missy Beavers. The person's stance also has the same vague suggestion of a disability of some sort as the murderer of Missy Beaver. In this case, bend at the knees seems different.
Yes, I thought of Swat Guy too!

I am NOT saying it's the same person, but that the Devil's Den guy's body, stance and "get up" remind me of Swat Guy. Swat Guy also "dressed up" for the occasion in odd, cobbled together attire.

I am hopeful that Devil's Den Guy will be caught, unlike Swat Guy.

However, if he hadn't dressed so weirdly and just acted casual, probably no one would have noticed any tats..

If a person was hiking on the trails a does of bug spray would do the trick.
So either he was covering tats, not planning to stay on trails, extra sensitive, or it was the dark color he was going for.

If he is covering tats
And was planning to abduct a child
And was planning to take them to a nearby location- lives nearby
And he is late 20s to early 30’s
He may have a history- an RSO

Surely the FBI is already on this line of thinking!

Arkansas Sex Offender Registry

The system is clunky, you can’t search a city. If you zoom in to click details then back out it recenters the map on Little Rock.
Maybe start at nearest cities to the park?

Park Address to plug into search bar
11333 AR-74, West Fork

I found a good match to an RSO in Winslow, AR (15 min east of Devil’s Den Park)
RSO Info
- white mail, brown hair, 27-28, 6’ tall
- attempted sexual misconduct with a child
- tattoos on hands, arms, back
- hazel eyes
- multiple aliases- including his former last name
Wide headed guy like the pic
Similar build
Wearing sports clothing in RSO photo, and black sunglasses on shirt

Offense 2016 Barton County, Missouri- just over the Arkansas line to north
RSO Missouri does not have him listed- maybe he was a minor- expunged?
Changed last name 2021- public notice in Lamar Democrat Newspaper

It is a good match of possible suspect, most of the other RSOs close by are older men.
I sent in a tip for this one- too many similarities to POI.

He works in Winslow- what are the odds Google Earth has a pic of a black sedan at his home or place of employment?

I think the odd stance of the attacker in the photo is because he has possibly awkwardly swivelled to avoid face to face contact with the person with the camera. Maybe a bit off balance or trying to look like not up to anything, very casual, but it ends up looking a little funny.

The body composition looks not super masculine, I think, because of the hips, but that’s because of the baggy clothing or shirt tied around the waist and bags hanging all over. This person to me also gives off the vibes of being someone who maybe was a bit flabby, a bit not Mr 6 pack when younger, and they still kind of carry themselves like they are a bit uncomfortable in their body. All JMO from the vibes I get.

Agreed. It reminds me of the gear bags my kids had for soccer in the early 2000's. it was a duffle that had straps so it could be worn like a backpack. That was my first impression when I saw this picture. The other straps could be a camelbak water pack.

And that big Athletico hockey duffle is available on Amazon $79

What about the following, from page 6 in the thread?

BBM

I just listened to the podcast, and the killer’s eyes were also described as bright and bloodshot.

A reporter interviewed a few local residents. All I will say is one appeared to match the description. And that was repeated and repeated in comments. Other aspects from this list math also.
I’ve not seen anything about eye color either. I did read in several articles that he was wearing sunglasses.

An alleged passerby who encountered the alleged killer on the trail has described his eyes as green /blue. with sunglasses on his head.
