What are the odds it was actually someone else if the poi is based only off the couple who identified him as acting sus
I agree, though then, why not leave all the clothes,/carrier in the car?The impression I get is almost of someone who is carrying their entire life's belongings with them. Or at the very least someone who is carrying enough belongings to last days and days.
Perhaps they live in their car?
I really like this line of thinking, it explains the bag and unusual clothing choice.I agree, though then, why not leave all the clothes,/carrier in the car?
I'm leaning towards him intending to quickly remove his outer layers of (bloody) clothing/weapon and stash them in the bag, before anyone could see him, and to avoid getting any DNA in his car.
I heard a highly respected criminologist speculate that Lizzie Borden got away with killing her father by wearing only his heavy greatcoat, inside out and back to front, and then laying it under his body...was how there was no blood on her clothing...
If Lizzie could think of such a thing...
But in this case, if the killer was injured, he may have left his own blood behind.

Yes, I see what you mean. It is initially a confusing image which needs closer inspection. To me, the way the shirt hangs in the back is very feminine and makes it look as if the shoulders are feminine. Meaning, the neck line is sort of scooped lower in the back.
But closer inspection, IMO, suggests the broader shoulders of a biological man. But, I am open to the possibility that I’m wrong.
Or he could have taken off some very hot layers while he was scoping out the scene, but maybe putting outer coverings back on just before the crime. The people who first described him and who actually made the frontal drawing specifically said he had black shorts on.
He could have had black pants on underneath really wide shorts that might give the same lower hemline that we see on the back of his upper legs. These dont appear to be the zip-off type that have the zipper just above the knees, as there is clearly no continuity of line seen in the photo from the rear.
But what a pain to have to remove your pants then put shorts back on while trying to escape just murdering two people.
I really like this line of thinking, it explains the bag and unusual clothing choice.
I’m very encouraged by the statement that he may be injured; I think he cut himself.
It may not help them catch him in the near term, but it’ll nail him when they do.
seeing some rumors on you tube and fb , re police having IDed the POI as a RSO from nearby ? any confirmation?

First thing I thought of when I saw the get-up was homeless. They typically wear a lot of layers, even in the summer. Also, drug/use abuse can screw with your temperature regulation, especially opioids. I see a lot of thick black hoodies in 30 degree weather (Celsius, obv, otherwise that would make sense!)The impression I get is almost of someone who is carrying their entire life's belongings with them. Just a rumor with no confirmation as far as I can tell. I don't see any legitimate sources saying this.seeing some rumors on you tube and fb , re police having IDed the POI as a RSO from nearby ? any confirmation?

The gaiters or whatever on the legs may have been protection against snakes? Just checked and there are three different types of rattlesnakes in the area. Does the over dressing indicate someone inexperienced in being outdoors in nature? It's really the only way to explain the large bag and what appear to be several clothing layers so very inappropriate for the conditions that day. One cannot explain it off as saying he was just preparing for heavy rain.
I agree and have a similar line of thinking to what you posted.First thing I thought of when I saw the get-up was homeless. They typically wear a lot of layers, even in the summer. I'm guessing this is a random unprovoked act by a mentally unstable individual, but I work in mental health, so that probably biases me, lol. We all see these mysteries through the lens of our own lived experiences. Parents probably focus more on the kids, see potential abduction because that's one of their worst fears. They're all valid hypotheses until we know more!
Do we have a neighbourhood RSO tracker in the UK as well ? can someone share a link ? feels like all parents should have this posted to them ?
I would agree, except that he got away - not just obscuring his license plate, but also not being a regular, recognized visitor at the park, slipping out and driving off without being seen, not attracting attention for several days now ... to me that seems like someone who is in his right mind.I'm guessing this is a random unprovoked act by a mentally unstable individual, but I work in mental health, so that probably biases me, lol.
