I’m laughing as that makes a lot more sense now.

When I go to conferences in the northeast I may speak to strangers as I would in Texas. So I may talk to someone at the airport or on the plane, the Lift driver. The looks I get are of confusion, I never knew it was because they thought I was crazy, or going to attack them.
I thought it was my accent.

The attacker's posture looks like a person who has shrimp back from gaming / computer programming / being sedentary most of the time hunched over in a chair.

I think the exposed skin on the back of the neck (which may be why some are thinking the person seems feminine) is because the neck of the shirt is VERY stretched as compared to a normal t-shirt neck. Either pulled down by the straps and carried weight, stretched out with age, or even intentionally cut as some people might do if they were sensitive to such tactile issues.

(Also, if the hairdresser arrest is real, that's a bit of a spooky personal coincidence as I just reached the bit in the Idaho murders book where the hairdresser talks about how creepy it was to have cut Bryan's hair after the killings and then see his face on tv after the arrest and realize it was him...)
