I did get kind of a chuckle at the DOC spokesperson saying these security issues are the same used with high profile sex offenders who are at risk everyday in the community so FCA is being treated the same....:innocent:

There was one...not so much high profile...that came back to live with his folks in my town. The neighbors (amongst others) went absolutely ballistic. They didn't want him in the community...period (not saying it was right). They ended putting the guy back into some sort of facility. I wonder what would happen if the county where she's residing gets wind of her living there. Would they try to run her out of town? Again, not saying it's right...but knowing my town the way that I do, she wouldn't last long...at all.

She never graduated high school, right? Did she get her GED while in jail? I wonder if she would have to keep up a certain GPA if she opted for school over job. I can't imagine she was a good student, but I don't know. Seems unlikely to me since she doesn't appear to have had to work for anything, or follow through with anything growing up.

No, in the three years she languished in jail she didn't do anything productive it seems. now it's imperative that she get an education... :innocent:

IMO, any "online" schooling, housing, food, etc., will be coming out of the pockets of her lawyers, donations from the public, and "perhaps" money earned from Casey "trotting in Ohio".

Casey "might" be eligible for "food stamps" and Medicaid benefits, but I am not 100% certain of that and feel that her backers would not allow her to go through the "Food Stamp/Medicaid" benefits program.

Food stamps, maybe..Medicaid, no. She got rid of the one thing that would qualify her for Medicaid. No kids, no 'disability', no Medicaid.

I would imagine that first she might take a class to pass the GED or equivalent? I do imagine she is eligible for financial aid, unless somehow the IRS bill has any effect on that. It is possible (happens all of the time) for students to live off of financial aid (grants/loans) alone. I would imagine that both DOC and the federal government would need to keep tabs on her "attendance" during her online studies.

Normally, you do not get any financial assistance if you have a felony.

Not sure how it is in Florida, but In Ky if you do NOT have a child you can qualify for FS but you have to work for them. Also, Medicaid you can only get if you are preggo or have a child under 1.

My fellow sleuthers... Relax, you can't be shocked things played out this way. Who, seriously, WHO is going to employ her except her DT? Jerry Springer doesn't even want her. Can you imagine hiring her, it would be suicide for a business, even if she could work online or from home. She is 100% unemployable and will be for quite some time. And further, did we REALLY think they would make her address public? I venture the entire police dept would be tied up on crowd control on the brightest side of things, a cop could wind up being shot at or killed in a riot, likely someone would burn her house down which will cause further problems for Florida. They had no choice, we have to be patient. She can not survive on her own, she is like a paracite. She has a host now, but she will exhaust those resources soon enough. She'll get hers, I guarintee and I WON'T eat crow on this one.

I'd really like to know details.... if she reported them to LE and what has been done about the threats? - are they real or just some blogger expanding on where he'd put his size twelve boot if he could...

Sex offenders deal with this all the time. In some ways it is unfair because I do believe that there are some that are truly trying to get on with life after making a mistake and society in this case doesn't allow that. Plus the term sex offender these days are used so loosely but that's a topic for another day.

And here in FL you can sign up for alerts when a sex offender moves into your neighborhood. Their location is always public record. I honestly don't know of one instance where a registered sex offender's location would be kept secret.

You might be right, although most people don't want to wait 5/10/15 years for something to happen, which by that point the level of 'caring' has gone out the window.

I would too, but seemingly everyone in charge (DOC, judge, LE) seem to think they are credible because they keep on referencing it.
