She did well. Off to vote on the poll. Guilty on all counts.

Could somebody bump the poll so others see it on this page? TIA

Now let’s hope they have done enough to convince the jury he is guilty.

It’s quite obvious (IMO) and to over 100 over posters on here he is guilty but let’s hope she really nailed home nobody else could of done this.

I have said that I am unsure of his guilt now, I haven't said that I think he's innocent, I truly do not have a strong opinion one way or the other at this point.

BBM Do you also believe that the State did not prove it then?
I think they were able to prove it during the defense case by disproving most of the defense arguments. Catherine Jarvis was a train wreck.
The accountant admitted if he’d been given all the evidence shown to him by the DA , it would likely change his report.
Seems like there was another defense expert that had to admit he was not shown certain evidence,as well , but I’m drawing a blank.
I’m not on the jury , though. It’s all relative.

The Mcstay's DNA was also not found in the graves, when clearly they were there, and murdered.

Next.

Then maybe we could consider it's not the McStays?

From my experience as a juror, each juror has already decided. I don't know if in a DP case the foreman takes a poll right away - but if the majority say guilty (written on a piece of paper - put in a pile for anonymity) the rest of deliberation time is spent pulling out evidence of guilt or innocence. Here's hoping they chose a strong foreman (makes for brevity).

I loved the Prosecutor's closing. Excellent job imo.
I can hardly believe that we are finally at this point. Prayers for the families.

are you sure? LOL I think you need a passport....
I've crossed the border dozens of times with DL only. This is the most current info I could find.
"U.S. citizens and permanent residents traveling to Canada by air are required by U.S. law to present a passport for entry into Canada and will need to present their passport again when returning to the U.S.

For those traveling by land or water, you will need a passport, passport card, NEXUS card, Enhanced Drivers License, or another Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative-compliant document to enter Canada, and will need to show these documents again to return to the U.S."

What You Need to Know About Visiting Canada From the U.S.

First time I am agreeing with Maline. this regarding the juror issues.

Nor is there any evidence to include it.....

The prosecution has prove their case, the defense doesn't have prove anything.

Why not? LOTS of serial killers have had children and/or spouses who loved and supported them. Does that mean that they then don't have the capacity to murder numerous people?

LOTS of people had stealing convictions, does that mean that they progress to murdering a family of 4?

If anyone was hired to help in the killing, all of the evidence points to CM as the person who hired them.
Where did the money that Dan Kavanaugh stole from Joey after he went missing go?:rolleyes:

CM at one time said the window was left open due to allergies that Joey had. Anyone who know anything about allergies - knows the last thing you do is leave a window open. So there’s another big LIE.
Same with the weird story about the light being left on, so the kids could come downstairs for a drink. PLEASE. I don't even have kids and know, that none at those ages would be walking around the house in the middle of the night--NOT when the whole family slept in the same bed. Heck, I wake up at least 5x a nite, when my dogs are jumping off/on the bed. I'm quite sure SM would immediately wake up, if one of the kids got out of bed. AND, how the heck did CM know what lights they left on at night and for what reason? Was he spending the NIGHT over there too?!?

So a juror can only deliberate for a few hours a day starting on Monday and they are keeping him... this is so ridiculous... the family and everyone involved just need an end to this and now they can't even get a full day of deliberations in?

Everything about this trial is just off LOL

Agree, not fair to the other jurors.

I mean, I feel for the juror... this is 5 months he can't get back either, but geesh... how unfair to everyone else, not just the jurors. Get it done already. Dang wishy washy judge too!

Yea, I am watching her now for the first time and something that people in college need to consider if they are thinking about being courtroom laywers is to really think long and hard if they are going to be a good public speaker and if they will like that part of the job.

Public speaking and presentations are a big part of being a courtroom laywer arguing a case. And its the audience reaction to their presentation skills which is very important.
Some laywers may be great lawyers but their presentation skills may not be well received.

With that said and with this being the first time I have watched her, I am being put off by her style. She is coming across as angry and basically shouting/screaming. I am getting a negative reaction to her style. And that does affect how I think about the case because even without thinking of any evidence I am starting to feel like I dont believe some of what she is saying. And there is no basis to think that other than her style which is not being received well by me.

JMO of course.

I think she was a bit strident in her approach, especially yesterday; she seemed toned down today (to me anyway): I think you can also interpret her "style" as direct, concise and passionate. I would hope that is how the jury sees her: i think she presented the content of her closing very well and hit on very important points - a couple of times i burst out laughing, like when she said CM was so upset his good friend was missing he went to the casino- i thought that was an interesting point.
