Now let’s hope they have done enough to convince the jury he is guilty.

It’s quite obvious (IMO) and to over 100 over posters on here he is guilty but let’s hope she really nailed home nobody else could of done this.

Where do those 100 come from? Have so many real humans been lurking around this thread?

CM confess? Never in a million years. He is far too arrogant, narcissistic, and over-confident in his ability to spin lies.

Sending vibes of wisdom, fairness, and justice to the now-deliberating jury!!!

So for the people who think Chase is guilty here is a question for you all as I’m quite new to watching real crime.

Do you think Chase will ever confess if he is found guilty of this crime?

How often in the U.S do people found guilty then decide to confess?
In a word: never! CM
Others: Occasionally

The defense had to call Dr. Rudin to have him calculate how long it takes a killer to produce fake tears. That's why the long pause at the end of Maline's closing yesterday.

This is so funny!

I don’t think CM will EVER confess what he has done. Not even on his death bed.

I don’t have any statistics on your second question but I would say rarely if ever. Only confessions I remember is when the perpetrator is facing the death penalty.

I look at her style mostly as being indignant at the lies and fabrications of the DT and wanting to relay that indignation to the jury.
It's Arrogance and Madness.

Another confirmation bias. He's guilty, therefore his tears were for himself.

I hope I never hear those words "confirmation bias" again once Merritt is convicted. Ugh!

My word I hope not. That would have no place in a court of law. I have to still retain a semblance of belief in the Process, else, where would we as a society be?

No it’s the people who can see the forest though the trees. He is guilty and I just hope that Patrick gets justice for the years he has lost with his family.

MOO

Your courts are so random in the U.S :D

When we had to deliberate we had to be in at 9.30 bring our own lunch and was locked away unless we had a question then everybody was called back into to answer our questions and then locked away again until 4.30pm.

But you guys get to keep your own hours within reason:oops:

My court was by London Bridge and by the second full day I was thinking about throwing myself out of the window I was so sick of it. I also only had a 8 day trial so god knows how these lot feel.

LOL

And each state here can have slightly different ways of doing things.

During the Jodi Arias trial in Arizona I was shocked when the jury themselves got to ask the witnesses questions during the trial.

If I remember that trial correctly, then after each witness got up on the stand and after the defense and Prosecution was done with that witness, then the jury got permission to submit written questions to the witness. And the witness was called back to the stand in front of the jury and the witness had to answer those questions. It was very interesting and a helpful addition that I had never seen in a trial before.

It’s Now been uttered so much that it’s now lost all meaning anyway.

The prosecution has prove their case, the defense doesn't have prove anything.
Typo: Meant to type "The prosecution has to prove their case".

According to this Canadian government page, you do need a passport when crossing from the U.S. to Canada.

It also states "or other travel documents". I believe your comment is an example of a fundamental issue affecting the members here, it seems as people are seeing only what they want to see, it's quite unfortunate that we can't have an honest debate and that goes for both sides. Apparently, what we see here is a reflection of the behavior between the DT and PT as seen in the trial.

I wish you had included a category for UNDECIDED...I am still on the fence--Not Sure if he's Guilty or Innocent based on the evidence presented by both the Defense and the Prosecution...

I didn't do this poll but if you were on the jury, you would have to decide during deliberations or it would be hung jury so yeah a hung jury option would've been nice.
