is this making anyone else very nervous???

Yes. It is making me skeered that jury will find in favor of a lesser charge than first degree.

Self defense my hiney.

Self-defense cannot be found here. Gun/knife does not equal naked dude with fists.

I'm sure that's Sue Stodala. She was going to be the Mitigation Expert (think I've got the expression right - it's not the Mitigation Specialist). People said she had retired.

The "reasonable use of force" instruction is very well crafted, IMO.

My feed is skipping--is anyone else's? I've tried 2 sites already!

JA is already dead inside.

IMHO, I believe she never thought this day would arrive, and would have received a mistrial. Now she can sit and hope for a hung jury -- which I don't believe will ever happen since she already admitted to killing TA.

And look at JW checking out the jury. They are toast...extra crisp.

MOO

Her explanation of reasonable deadly physical force I think takes that off the table for all the jurors.. I am nervous about 2nd degree murder.. but not manslaughter.

  • #837
TECHNICALLY she could theoretically be found guilty of 2nd degree. Ugh I hope the jury sees reason

Arias definitely used the FORCE to slaughter Travis.

  • #839
There you go. No more force greater than necessary used to protect against danger. I think this case is the definition of too much force. (Not that there was any danger, BUT if there were 29 stab wounds would be a bit overkill)

They don't need to agree to felony murder or premeditated murder. Both would allow them to convict for 1st degree murder! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone else get that warm chill...when those instructions were read? I did. JA is going down. I feel nothing but warmth. Our prayers and positive vices are WORKING!
