Just gotta say that before the break the defendant looked a little wrecked.

I think Juan pegged the order of actions in her execution ON SPOT, and it got to her.

Juan's doing a great job - he has tied together some things that I was not real clear about.

Now I understand why he asked the question about the gopher -- I had forgotten that Dr Karp had also diagnosed PTSD based on domestic violence that didn't happen. There's your gopher.

I was thinking that the gopher was the first story that she was NEVER THERE in the first place, as opposed to the tiger (ninjas) or bear (self defense).

oh shoot, that's right, I forgot why I dislike Nurmi - it's his obsession with sex, which Jennifer doesn't focus on - however, it's a toss up - sexual and slow or whiney and shrill - I'm not looking forward to Nurmi's closing at all! :banghead:

Just have no idea what the defense can possibly come up with to dispute or challenge anything Juan has presented and tied up into a tidy package. They, dt, are going to have to stick with the abuse story, and jodi victim story, and that boat, (not that it held any water before), has a big large unrepairable hole in it. Juan is brilliant,.

Has Juan talked about the pedophilia lie at all today? I haven't heard that come up yet. If yes, what did he say? That lie is so heinous... it is a stellar example of how far she is willing to go to manipulate this jury.

I don't know because I lost all feed a few times today for up to 5 minutes! Hope to catch what I missed tonight on YouTube.

JW looked shell-shocked during much of Juan's closing. I think that this is really the first time that she has heard the "real" story - the TRUTH - about what her client did to Travis Alexander. :moo:

That's what I thought...and it was when JM was talking in that soft tone of voice like she had never thought of it in that way before.

If JA were claiming she wasn't there and didn't kill Travis, the palm print would be an issue to prove otherwise. She admitted to being there, to killing Travis. The presence of the palm print is not essential and is already entered into evidence. JM doesn't need it to convince anyone of what it represents. He may mention it but the jury already knows about it. We're way past having to prove she was there and did it. If it proved premed then it would be a big deal. IMO

There is also his continued closing after the defense goes right? I think he could be holding some stuff for then!?

Juan even stated that the knife she used to cut his throat had to have been cleaned on the spot or wrapped in something to contain the residual blood. Good Lord, the viual image of that.

I HOPE Nurmi tries to deny that she took it back to THAT Walmart. She already testified under oath, that she did. And someone way back a couple of threads said there was no other Walmart in Salinas. So let's hope he tries to say something bogus like that in his closing.
