Every law student should see this....Imo....*this* is why one should become a lawyer--to be the voice of truth!

Hell, I want to go back to school, and I'm 65 years old! Who knew it could be this gratifying?

JMs powerful description of Travis "sitting" in the shower had to have hit a nerve with the jury. She took his life and his dignity. Spot on JM!!

Am I wrong or did JM not mention the bloody palm print?

I don't recall him mentioning it either - but in thinking about that, the piece of wall is in evidence for the jury to see through deliberations.

Maybe Juan will go into framing a piece of the crime as "her hands are all over it" and use the hand print then?

I love the way he frames things :)

I take it JM has never been to SF. I did not really get his statement??

I took as the SF fog is so thick and dense that you can't see in front of you. But while in her fog she was able to do everything that he "highlighted". So, if her fog was as thick as she claims, she couldn't do any of it. The fog is a lie.

ja girl please!!! so many lies, i did not put together the car rental, she lied about priceline and paid direct to budget. thank the law for closing arguments. moo

Interesting...Lyrics..

"The Boys Of Summer"

Nobody on the road
Nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
The summer's out of reach
Empty lake, empty streets
The sun goes down alone
I'm driving by your house
Though I know you're not home

But I can see you-
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got your hair combed back and your sunglasses on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

I never will forget those nights
I wonder if it was a dream
Remember how you made me crazy?
Remember how I made you scream
Now I don't understand what happened to our love
But babe, I'm gonna get you back
I'm gonna show you what I'm made of

I can see you-
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
I see you walking real slow and you're smilin' at everyone
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

Out on the road today, I saw a DEADHEAD sticker on a Cadillac
A little voice inside my head said, "Don't look back. You can never look back"
I thought I knew what love was
What did I know?
Those days are gone forever
I should just let them go but-

I can see you-
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got that top pulled down and that radio on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

I can see you-
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got that hair slicked back and those Wayfarers on, baby
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

Josie you can't miss a minute of JM. You have been here for the trial and all the lies by JA and team JA......JM is laying out the steps and lies and pre meditation of JA inch by inch. Not a minute to be missed. Glad you are back.

Good day today. Travis' voice is being heard loud and clear and end of yr parent teacher conference that shows my baby is averaging above grade level.

Da*n, I sure would not want to go up after Juan. Bet Nurmi is getting cold feet. Wilmot should feel lucky it's not her...and she can continue to comfort Jodi, and send looks to jury and Juan.

If JM hasn't mentioned the palm print yet, he might still to wrap up the where her finger got cut and the proof on the wall.

If JA were claiming she wasn't there and didn't kill Travis, the palm print would be an issue to prove otherwise. She admitted to being there, to killing Travis. The presence of the palm print is not essential and is already entered into evidence. JM doesn't need it to convince anyone of what it represents. He may mention it but the jury already knows about it. We're way past having to prove she was there and did it. If it proved premed then it would be a big deal. IMO

Jodi once again snuck a peak at each photo Juan showed of Travis and his wounds. Photos she has ALREADY seen. I put them together and will be putting them in the media thread since it may not be of interest here.

I just find it interesting that even at the very end of the road. The time she is supposed to be on her best behavior, she can't help gawking at what she did.

The only way I feel better about it is to talk about it and how horrible she is. Oh, and post photos of her doing it.

:stormingmad:

Juan, wow. I could listen to him speak for days and days straight. How I love Juan. The amazing human being that he is. He is doing Travis proud.

I thought JW looked kind of sick there for a few minutes as though she had finally realized how much TA had suffered.

I dunno...maybe she's used to putting on a "front" in court b/c obviously it's her job, but sometimes I just find it so strange when the camera is on her and Jodi, that she just stares at the gruesome pics on the monitor with her hand under her chin and shows absolutely no emotion. It has happened lots of times. Even though they don't show a close-up of Nurmi, I sometimes see him getting uncomfortable, fidgeting in his chair - I can tell he doesn' tlike to look at the pics. But JW has no problem with it!! I understand she's trying to not show any emotion for the "other side" to protect her client, but we're all human after all. I don't know...maybe she goes home and breaks down there, but sometimes I feel like she hates Travis as much as Jodi does....like hey look at this mean guy he hit my client and was going to kill her look what he did to her.

I need a copy of Juan's closing.
How can I get a copy off of You-Tube to CD? I need to keep this closing and look at it all summer.
Anyone??

when Jodi "cries" she wipes her nose like she has a cold..

shouldn't she be wiping her eyes and occasionally blowing her nose, if shes really crying

Maybe it will be in his final argument.

He did mention the voicemail to Travis on the way to Utah, and that she gave it many tries to get it right, and that it took directed thought. Attributed that to both no fog and further staging of the scene for LE, and tied it to steps to completion of the premeditation.

This closing is absolutely brilliant. It should be used in Law Schools as a great example of what to do in a case like this.

ITA The walkthrough of of Travis' brutal murder couldn't have been more respectful. For me the impact was huge!!!
