kids don't have the same filters, the same experience, the same sense of knowing what could happen... generally speaking anyway. Isn't that one reason a child puts everything into their mouths? We know that a clear packet of laundry soap, or a dirty quarter, won't taste good so we don't put it in our mouths. We worry what will happen if we push that red button, but kids? They are pushing that damn button.
We know riding a coal train can be risky (for starters) so most folks probably would not consider jumping on one. A youngster isn't quite as concerned with what might happen.
I don't know, I'm rambling, glad she is safe. So so glad and relieved. Phew!
