Man Gross Reservoir is a place where a lot of searches end up and is much further out than Chautauqua. There was a guy a while back whose car was found out there and I cannot recall if he was ever found? Off to go look. It's an extensive area.

It was Ryder Johnson, his remains were found there 1.5 years after he went missing.

Thank goodness Boulder is an affluent area. This means a well equipped Sheriff's office that could well have access to a helicopter with a FLIR (forward looking infrared radar). Another potential for good news is that FLIRs have increasingly become standard equipment on police helicopters.

I am worried about the apparent snowfall coupled with temperatures above snow melting. People can survive being truly cold far longer than they can being chilled and wet. All the more reason to get any helicopter on the search.

Just saw this on fb. I was hoping a thread was open for her.
Other than taking the hike do we know anything else?

The last paragraph says it all, IMO. Winter is so tough for those who are struggling with mental illness. My thoughts are with her family.
