Does anyone have a MSM link about jurors apparently agreeing on the First Degree Homicide verdict but taking longer on the others?

I'm not aware that any jurors have spoken to MSM to share this type of information.

The only thing I've heard regarding the jurors-- since the verdict-- is that several of them returned to the courtroom to hear the sentencing phase of the trial. This was revealed during the DA's press conference held on 7/30. The presser starts about 15 minutes into the video linked below:

Prosecutors are holding a news conference after a jury found former Aurora dentist James Craig guilty in the murder of his wife Angela Craig.

He needs No Contact Orders for... everyone.

His asks are criminal.

He robbed her children of their devoted mom... and of a decent father.

He robbed the world of what she had to offer.

Time for him to wither on the vine.

My apologies to the vine.

I wish she had left him at her first inclination to, but having prosecuted DV, I understand the cycle of violence and how hard it is to break away from it. I hope this case helps even one woman get away from their own nightmare. Praying for Angela, her kids, and extended family tonight.
I sometime wonder if there's too much emphasis on "working on it," seeking couples counseing, all these self-help books, etc etc that it has warped our understanding of what makes someone a healthy partner?? Ykwim? We don't focus enough on what are the qualities that are needed to have a lasting, healthy long term relationship. No amount of "working on it" is gonna change someone who just isn't cut out for long term committment or even any kind of healthy relationship. In fact a lot of couple's counseling to me seems like a way for the unheatlhy partner to gaslight and drain the psychological and financial resources of the other. Eventually people divorce anyway but they first go through agonzing effort. Of course in this case we know how that ended. It's depressing. JMO

Valid. My family is deeply rooted in the LDS culture. For over 150 years, almost from the beginning.

In general, the goal is to always keep the family intact. But, if the spouse is not honoring his or her part of the marriage pact, as in this case, CJ kept cheating on Angela, counseling was not going to work, because it appears like he never actually stopped his cheating. He is the one who ruined the marriage covenant. Angela would have had no recriminations from anyone for leaving a marriage that one partner was unable to keep his vows.

As far as the LDS church and divorce, it happens. It is not uncommon for several people to be divorced in an LDS ward.

My personal belief is that he did not choose divorce because of financial reasons. He did not want to give Angela anything, nothing, no financial support, property... nothing. Just my opinion, of course.

I think JC has replaced Chris Watts as the husband, father, I'm most repulsed by. The guy had no quit, and you know he can't wait to set up his JPal account and start corresponding with his fan girls ASAP. Maybe he'll offer to spread the love-- hand off his rejects to his cellmates.

After he clears reception, I wonder if he'll end up with Patrick Frazee in Arkansas Valley or destined for Canon City.

I hope he's with Barry one day jmvho

"I think it just gave me more dedication and more strength to continue to go forward. I'm going to continue to work this case, I'm the lead detective, I'm here to give Angela justice, and you're not going to stop me," she said. "He's trying desperately to do anything and everything he can to throw this investigation off, and I don't know, I guess he's picking the wrong detective. Because again, I think it just fueled me to work even harder on this case and prove that he's an evil man."

Sorry if this has been mentioned and I missed it, but does anyone know if AC and JC were married in an LDS temple? I'm not Mormon myself, but I don't like the idea of the Church potentially believing that Angela is still "sealed" to her murderer "for time and all eternity".

I'm glad it seems like the kids have a close-knit extended family to take care of them. I can't imagine what they must have been through

I don't know the answer, but I am wondering who is taking care of the minor children. Somewhere, I thought I read it was his family. I feel like they should be with her family.

The family can request a "temple divorce" posthumously.

I had a friend who wanted a posthumously temple divorce from her first husband. They accommodated her request. She wanted a temple marriage for "all time and eternity" with new spouse in the temple.

I requested a sealing cancellation from my abusive ex-husband after our civil divorce. Some leaders don't encourage sealing cancellations and think members should leave it in God's hands to be worked out in the eternities, but I wasn't taking any chances.
