From the linked article:

According to the indictment released Friday, butorphanol, azaperone and medetomidine, also known as BAM, is tightly regulated and only sold by one company in the United States.

The indictment notes that Barry Morphew was the only private citizen living in that area of Colorado with access to BAM. Records show no other people or businesses, besides the Bureau of Land Management and Colorado Parks and Wildlife, purchased BAM prescriptions between 2017 and 2020. None of the BAM from the government agencies was unaccounted for.

This is ultimately what will carry the case past the BARD threshold in jurors' minds.

There's just no alternative scenario that can reasonably account for the BAM being found in her body.

Once you add this to all the digital forensic evidence, Suzanne's texts, the marital conflict, BM's pathological lies, the bike/helmet being planted, the inexplicable trash dumps, and all the rest of his idiotic machinations, there is no way he digs himself out from under that mountain of evidence.

He's buried himself much more definitively than he buried her.

Thank you for responding. I look forward to other long-time members reading and interpreting the indictment.

I still wonder about the cadaver-dog hits on the Bobcat and the hasty landscaping.
Eh, IIRC no human biological material was recovered, and equipment like that used for landscaping can carry a variety of organic odor sources. Plant decomp, disturbed soil, and microbial breakdown all produce VOC s that can overlap with the target odor spectrum HRD dogs are trained on. Dogs work odor, not context, so in a complex environment like that non-human sources can trigger alerts. Without recovered physical evidence, those alerts won’t carry much weight in court. I also don’t like the practice (outdated imo) of dogs on the same team being used to search or confirm any alerts. imo

I am late to the party - SOOOO Happy to see this
What a beautiful way to start off the weekend 💕
Do they have a firnig squad in Colorado?
If not maybe Idaho would do the honors
WOOOOHOOOOOOO
jmo
You are not late to the party, this one will be going on for awhile!!
It is good to see so many familiar posters all joining in the Friday felony celebrations.

I just got here. Lauren Scharf tweeted an article from news in.CO that Bam Bam Barry has been arrested. I am thrilled and I share in everyone’s joy to see this man brought to justice. It had to be God’s work that her body was even found, not diminishing the work of CBI. I am so thankful!
Indeed a God Wink! 🙏

I have long said that Shoshone Darke was the most dangerous woman in the world to Barry Morphew. She lied to police about the nature of their relationship, appeared to delete texts in the interview room, and clearly knew a lot more than what she let on.

The discovery of Suzanne's body was suspicious as hell, as CBI insisted she was found during an unrelated search. But I kind of bought into that, as I didn't believe that Barry would have told anyone about where he dumped Suzanne's body.

From this grand jury indictment however, we now know that Suzanne's body was almost certainly moved. This opens the door to someone providing a tip to law enforcement.I am not saying that Shoshona is the source of that tip (if it exists), but she's at the top of my list. "A woman scorned."

June 20, 2025 article - at long last! Plenty of assistance for prosecutors this time around.

To follow this case from this point forward, we would encourage you to follow the State Judicial Case of Interest page where hearings and public documents, including the indictment, can be found soon: Cases of Interest | Colorado Judicial Branch

We anticipate that State Judicial will be live streaming the court hearings. The hearing links can be found on State Judicial Case of Interest page.

Did the BAM actually kill her? Or did it incapacitate her enough so that he could kill her another way--maybe asphyxiate her? JMO
I recall reading (DailyMail) that a live 22 shell casing was found in the house. Don’t remember any evidence of her blood being found found in the house. He did wash the sheets for a reason though . . . Kinda funny because he thought he was removing evidence but a tranq. dart cap was found in the dryer. Another God Wink.

This part is wild and unexpected for me. In CO the warm May to Sept window would have rapidly advanced decomposition if the body had been outdoors. The fact that no insect activity or typical decomp signs were found points to storage in a controlled environment (imo). By the time she was moved to the recovery site, decomp was mostly complete, leaving skeletal remains with minimal tissue, which explains why animals and insects showed little interest at the final location. imo

Thank you for updating this thread title. I had not been following the thread lately out of frustration.

So Barry will be at the presser? In handcuffs I assume. Love to see it.

Celebrating with everyone here! Justice for Suzanne!
Same with me. I just happened to log on and saw BARRY ARRESTED AGAIN!!!

Great news….was beginning to think this day wouldn’t come!

Waiting to hear what else will be released at the PC. His daughters will be there??
