Like so many of you I've waited for this day for such a long time. Justice will be served.

Just noticed this says that Michael Dougherty of Boulder County will be assisting! He assisted another small county in Colorado in getting justice for Dylan Redwine!

[…]

The Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office recognizes Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty. He has consistently provided essential support and leadership to rural prosecutors with limited resources to pursue major cases and obtain justice for victims throughout the State.

BBM:

Sure, Dave! Case hasn't changed one iota.

Aside from Suzanne's remains being found, analyzed, and the presence of prescription-only BAM being detected in her bones.

BAM which your client was known to have purchased.

BAM which only he was in possession of in that entire surrounding area of CO.

BAM which only he had motive to use on Suzanne.

But aside from all that, yes, Dave, we agree.

Nothing has changed.
This is very good and funny too. Thanks for smacking down those lies.

I wonder if they live in Colorado still and maybe their dad moving to Arizona gave them enough space from him that they could begin to see some things better. Then they found Suzanne and sometime later it was announced she had BAM in her body. Well that likely gave them pause. Maybe Barry's behavior became a bit more off after that announcement and I suspect they might have known at that point that he likely did it. It's hard to argue against that kind of information. Who else would kill her with BAM?

Sorry, this is moving so fast at the moment, I may have missed something before I could catch up! Like everyone else, I'm totally ecstatic that this has come to pass - I mean, everyone knew it, didn't they - they just needed the proof. So.... was the presence of the BAM. and the fact of the metabolising of same, the only new evidence? Reading the court document, I seem to remember all the details described in it except that - although I missed the cam evidence of him travelling round and depositing 'unknown items' in various rubbish bins, first time round. And I wonder now how retrieval of those items wouldn't have been enough to convict him back then. Can someone please refresh my memory - I can't believe I missed something apparently so important at the time.

Great news! It took a long time, but Dylan’s father was finally convicted for his murder.

It’s about time!!!!

Get used to those pretty silver bracelets Barry. You’ll be wearing them every time you step outside the walls of jail/prison.

On Wednesday, the Twelfth Judicial District Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Barry Morphew with first-degree murder of his wife. He was taken into custody in Gilbert, Arizona, on Friday. The district attorney's office said it will seek to extradite Barry Morphew back to the San Luis Valley.

Thank you, Anne Kelly! Your diligence has helped the Grand Jury to complete its task, and the GJ's independence has insulated this prosecution from the taint of the past.

Bravo!

Briefing in Morphew v Chaffee County is complete. Nothing to see there.

Now, my question is, will IE show up to defend her oh-so-innocent client?

I have long said that Shoshone Darke was the most dangerous woman in the world to Barry Morphew. She lied to police about the nature of their relationship, appeared to delete texts in the interview room, and clearly knew a lot more than what she let on.

The discovery of Suzanne's body was suspicious as hell, as CBI insisted she was found during an unrelated search. But I kind of bought into that, as I didn't believe that Barry would have told anyone about where he dumped Suzanne's body.

From this grand jury indictment however, we now know that Suzanne's body was almost certainly moved. This opens the door to someone providing a tip to law enforcement.I am not saying that Shoshona is the source of that tip (if it exists), but she's at the top of my list. "A woman scorned."
I wonder if he moved the body more then once.I may remember wrong but didn't the dogs hint at the water and wasn't Barry making the searchers uncomfortable. Didnt the dogs also hit at that other property ? I'm just so glad he's finally been arrested . Jmvho

No. I’m totally shook by that.
What about all that funny business at the river site, then the building site property he bought later? LE dug at both those sites?

But then again they also said they were fairly sure where she might be but needed to wait for the snow melt to search. As far as I know, they were way off on that one.

Expected to be there:

"In the release, the district attorney's office announced that Barry Morphew had been taken into custody on June 20 in Arizona, and the 12th Judicial District Attorney's Office is exercising an extradition order to get Morphew back to Colorado. The 12th Judicial District Attorney's Office will be hosting a press conference Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. in Alamosa. Barry and Suzanne's daughters are expected at the press conference, and News5 will be in attendance. We will be streaming the conference in this article below at 6:00 p.m."

Interesting!!! Have they switched teams? I’m woukd be very happy to learn that was true!!!

IF Suzanne's remains were in a controlled environment ... and it's sounding like that might have been the case, I'm wondering if there will be any other arrests ?
Hmmm.

If you click on the upcoming one with Suzanne's picture on it, pretty sure that will work.
