Maybe - I have to wonder if doing so would delay a right to speedy trial? But I would imagine defense wants everything they can get from the grand jury. And I'm wondering if in this trial it makes more sense to go for the speedy trial or waive the right.
Indictment by GJ does not impede a defendant's right to a speedy trial! Rule 16- Discovery is not abandoned.
Prosecutors must turn over such information within 21 days after your arraignment (though grand jury materials can be provided within 35 days after the indictment).
Rule § 16 Colorado - What is the D.A. required to provide?
Colorado Rule of Criminal Procedure § 16 - the mandatory disclosure rule - lays out what evidence the D.A. and defense attorneys must disclose before trial.
