Have you seen 54 year-old Beth Aper?

She was last seen at her home near the 39000 block of Shear Road (located in Rush, Colorado) on August 21, 2022. She possibly left in a tan colored sedan. She has not been heard from or seen since.

If you know of her whereabouts or have any information please call 719-520-7777.

AUG 31

Still missing, no new info.

She lives in rural Colorado with only her husband (who apparently made the missing person report?) & was happily installing a pop-up pool at her home the day before she disappeared (per her Facebook profile).

Has he been cleared by LE?

She seems to have started a new job recently, too. What about any coworkers? Have they all been cleared?

ETA: Correcting my statement. Her pool post was 10 days before she went missing. Sorry for the error.

Beth Aper was last seen at her residence in Rush, CO, on August 21, 2022, between 1200 and 1300 hours. Beth left in an unknown tan colored sedan east on Shear Road. It is unclear if she drove, or if someone drove her.

Beth was an "over communicator" according to family members and posted on social media multiple times a day. Beth's last post was on Facebook on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 1138 hours.

Beth's disappearance is highly concerning due to its sudden nature. Beth has ties to Illinois and it's possible she may have gone there.

She lived with only her husband AFAIK on a ranch acreage they were establishing in rural Rush, CO, east of Colorado Springs. They built a barn and were living in an RV there. Lots of documentation on Facebook. But I wouldn't call it "oversharing." She seems to have a warm & friendly personality but you can only read so much into SM.

She posted she has been married to her husband Bob for 30 years. She posted that she started a new job in July. She left her six beloved dogs behind. She left her Jeep behind. She began being active with the MLM Thrive last fall.

Her siblings are asking her to please get in touch. Her daughter-in-law also.

Her social media posts suddenly stopped August 12. Her disappearance was reported as being August 21 after walking to the end of their long driveway with several pieces of luggage/bags & leaving in a car with someone.

Who was the last person to see Beth in person other than her husband? And when?

It has been a month since she was reported missing & about six weeks since her regular Facebook posts suddenly stopped.

It would be good to know who last saw her or communicated with her besides her husband, as he reported her leaving in a car with someone else from their rural property. She left her Jeep behind.

Beth also left behind six dogs she appeared to be very attached to. Her excitement about leaving Illinois in 2021 to move to the remote Rush, CO acreage is well documented on her social media as is a trip with her husband this year in their RV to visit family in Oregon.

Her disappearance needs to be investigated as a potential criminal matter. I hope that is being done. I don't know her but I have a bad feeling her disappearance may not be voluntary as reported.

Bumping

No media updates that I can find since a month ago. I hope LE is still investigating.

She & her husband lived alone on 10 acres in Rush on the Colorado plains east of Colorado Springs, where they settled in 2021 after his retirement in Illinois. They have been married about 30 years.

Why would Beth leave? Her social media stops more than a week before she was reported as being picked up, leaving her six dogs & personal vehicle behind.

Bump. That is weird. What part of Illinois? I'm from there. She's an over-sharer, and she didn't post anything at all up to a week before she disappeared? That would make me think she could have been hiding from something or someone..possibly online stalker? They've been married a long time. Are they originally from Illinois?

They lived in Broadwell before moving to acreage in Rush, CO, according to this post on her FB page.

This link shows distance to some of the bigger towns like Champaign, (isn't that a college town?) Bloomington and the capital; Springfield.

They called her an "over-sharer" and said she made posts on SM several times a day, but there were no posts after August 12. She was reported missing on August 21. Possible she was missing before that? Why suddenly stop the SM posts? I have friends doing the MLM thing; they would never miss a day of posting, that's how the market themselves.

It's very strange. I hope LE are keeping family informed of efforts to find her. The latest posts I've seen indicate they remain hopeful she will call them even after all these months.

Two people living on rather remote acreage in CO & one goes missing, supposedly suddenly leaving with packed bags in the car of a stranger.

Maybe she reconnected with an old flame via the internet? Surely after a time, she would contact one of her siblings just to put minds more at ease.

That's so remote...Since she was apparently online a lot, how were they able to get the internet? Also; how well she was able to stay in contact with people..I was also wondering what her husband was retired from? Maybe a professor? It seems like there's a lot of colleges in that area...

Another question I thought of was; they certainly had a penchant for living in remote or off-the-grid areas. I wonder why? Were they survivalists ?
