GUILTY CO - Caden McWilliams, 7, encased in concrete in storage unit, Denver, 23 Dec 2018 *Mother Arrested*

  • #21
"The boy's body was encased in cement when he was discovered, and he could have have died as early as last May, ABC affiliate KMGH reported Monday, citing two anonymous law enforcement sources."

I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that the mother EP had help with this activity. If the child was very small for his age and about 50 pounds, plus the weight of enough cement to encase him... I do not see one person moving the container into the storage unit. Where was LP in May 2018? Who helped EP?

Could the family have been homeless and that's how this sweet kid "fell through the cracks". Just heartbreaking that no one noticed something was Very Very Wrong here. JMO

.

Maybe the cement was Quikrete, which I think just needs mixed with water, so it could have been mixed in a tub or other container right in the storage unit. Wouldn't have needed to be moved.

I noticed that most of the articles mention Caden's last name is McWilliams. Maybe change his name in the title??

Police: Mom told details of son’s death to fellow inmate

DENVER (AP) — A Colorado woman charged in the death of her 7-year-old son told a fellow inmate that the boy died in July, months before his body was discovered encased in concrete inside a Denver storage unit, according to court records unsealed Tuesday.

Authorities have released few details about the death of Caden McWilliams since his body was discovered in December.

Records involving the arrest of his mother, 43-year-old Elisha Pankey, had not been available to the public until Tuesday. She is charged with child abuse resulting in death and with the abuse of a corpse.

How heartbreaking is it to even read such a thing let alone comprehend that a mother could be involved in something so heinous. These poor children of drug addicts don't stand a chance.

If he was killed in May, school would have been out for summer so I can kind of understand why the school system was not investigating his whereabouts. Perhaps they thought the family had moved. What I don't understand is where are the other family members of the mom? How could a child be disappeared for several months without someone suspecting something?

I say lock these worthless 'parents' up and throw away the key. They don't deserve to be free in society IMO.

Sweet beautiful boy, fly high safely away from the monsters on earth that harmed you so.

How is it possible that a 'parent' could be so depraved and indifferent?? I hope justice is swift and without mercy.
