The remains belonged to Steven Kenneth Risku of Indiana and were found on Wolf Creek Pass in Mineral County in 1991.]

I presume this is the identification for these remains, though he was older than the presumed age in the NAMUS record, born in 1957. This is a younger pic of him.

I'm amazed at how off the age estimate was. How did that happen?

Given his background (adventurous, lover of the outdoors), Steven may not had died of foul play imo. Wolf Creek Pass is nearly 11,000 ft high, hypothermia maybe? Rest in peace.

This is kind of my feeling towards most anthropological estimates of Does from, I'd say, pre-1990. Regardless, I'm glad to see he's been identified.

I wonder if the estimated height confused things. Between 5'3" and 5'6" is quite short for an adult male.

The remains belonged to Steven Kenneth Risku of Indiana and were found on Wolf Creek Pass in Mineral County in 1991. His last known address was in Indianapolis, Indiana, and he occasionally visited California, according to his family. It is unclear why he was in Colorado but his family described him as adventurous and a lover of the outdoors, CBI said.
