Update: Derek Pettigrew's vehicle was located unoccupied on HWY127 near mile marker 6. Derek Pettigrew, a 22-year-old, white male, 6’00 Tall, 155 Lbs., brown hair and blue eyes was last seen leaving the Fort Collins area on 07/15/2025 in a Blue 2015 Subaru Station Wagon bearing Colorado plate JOS-519. The vehicle was located unoccupied on HWY 127 in Jackson County, CO. Subject is believed to be suffering from a mental health condition. If located, use caution and contact 911 or the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Fox affiliate KDVR reported that milepost 6 on the highway — where the vehicle was found — is near the border of Colorado and Wyoming, and at the intersection with Forest Service Road 895, near Pinkham Mountain.
