Does prosecutor get a tad snarky at times?
Maybe a tad when provoked. My crush has every right.
If you watch videos this weekend you’ll see what the Public Defenders have put them through. They’ve been duking it out since 2017 over this case. JMO

I am definitely watching the videos all weekend. Is this Fred Johnson questioning Ha? If it is, I have a crush on him too and like his style.

Is there a chance of a claim of ineffective counsel in the future?
Judge has to talk to Moran as if he’s a child. Constantly. JMO

.....and we're back to where we were prior to recess.

Yes it’s Fred with dark beard. Of course I meant a cerebral crush for his mind. Lol I’ve only seen the back of his head. He and DA Champagne are very intelligent and have done their homework.

How uncomfortable is this for the witness:eek:

Mind-crushes are the only kind I have these days. I hear ya! However, do enjoy his examination style.

What was it about canines and thunderstorms ? Did he write a book? Right after I heard that we got thunder and my 120 lb Akita went and jumped in the bathtub.

He's posturing like he has an attitude and seems to be taking Atty Johnson's remarks personally.

I actually haven’t noticed him getting snarky too much (when he has had multiple opportunities to do so) up until today. I think, since he has held the snark in, that the jury is going to take special note of today and will see that there is some major gymnastics/gaslighting the defense is going through to try to prove their case.

Thundershirts seem to work. Not a dog whisperer just a good ole love for dogs.

IMO, the judge has tried to re-affirm the court order that @Cindizzi posted earlier, from 2020. This witness will not be able to posit on HRD dogs. He isn't qualified. The defense is arguing for nothing. This is a colossal waste of the court, and the jury's time

So an HRD handler only needs to go to a few seminars and pass a certification test to be an expert witness about the ability of their dog to detect the scent of human remains and the dogs ability to communicate that fact to them.

This witness has the knowledge about animal behavior that may give the jury and us a better understanding of how that can be problematic.

I'd like to hear what he has to say and then let the prosecutor cross examine him. If this witness is weak the state with bring that out during cross. I think they did a good job of that with the forensic anthropologist today. JMO

4th of July I swaddled her in a bath sheet and sat up all night with her.

I’m interested in hearing him talk about interactions between humans/dogs in a close relationship and the reward response in dogs, but I don’t think he’s quite qualified to speak about transferring that specifically to HRD. I’m sure the general principles would transfer to the HRD/trainer relationship.
