Yes, Juror was excused. The rest of the jurors did not have any issues with it...so far. Judge states they have enough members seated, with alternates to continue.
I can’t imagine having to sit through all of this emotional and technical testimony and have it all be for nothing because of a fever :(

Ezzell got MR work records from April 2011-Nov 18, 2013 to show when he was in town in the house. Ezell made a chart with these records and when Dylan visited him. April 2011 was when he got a certificate of occupancy after the fire.

As I understood testimony from the Forensic Anthropologist yesterday, injuries found in Perimortem state can be any time pre, during and shortly after death.
I was thinking.. Could he have used a knife on the skull to pick it up when he moved it? not wanting to touch it? I don't know..its baffling me
But if it's only shortly after death then probably not.

Good morning! Day 13 of trial has started and before jury is present, the judge informs the attorneys that Juror #9 has a fever! Plans for their excuse from jury service are in order, and the rest of the jury will be informed. They do have alternates, so as long as the remaining jurors have no issues, trial will proceed. Of course, the defense stood up with concerns that he was standing near the screen, close to where juror #9 was seated.
This makes me very nervous seeing how Covid has already caused several delays in the past .
Hopefully I can get caught up over lunch break.

I would think so as they wont be present to hear the case. I did notice there did not seem to be any covid protocols followed that I could see. Other Trial I watched recently in Georgia did.
I was not surprised to see no mask wearing because I believe they are not mandated if a person is vaccinated. It did occur to me on one of the first days that if I was testifying I would want the witness stand and microphone and pointer sanitized between witnesses. JMO

The legal analyst made some very good points. I’m not sure that I trust the accuracy of the local reporter’s JW accounts going forward. Yesterday after Dr.Kurtzman testified he said that the Doctor said “ the blood on Dylan’s clothes showed an attempt to conceal blood”

What clothes?! What DR K actually said was the rug on the floor where blood was found was an attempt to conceal.

Just have to say…the judge said this morning that the juror with the fever was fully vaccinated, so let’s just just hope it’s just something we used to get pre covid.

The Delta variant is no joke and IMO concerning that people seem to be not taking it seriously.
