MR knows he's going to be spending the rest of his days locked up.

ETA: Even if he were innocent . . . with this defense . . .
Wonder if the camera person will zoom in on him at all?

Right now Pros Dougherty is beginning. Here we go.

Glad you’re here!! I hope the judge is wrapping up soon so the jury (and all of us!) don’t fall asleep :p

Morning sleuther! Thanks for not putting me on ignore. (I've been so obnoxious here!)

It really is. So many ruined lives -- not to mention the destroying of a little guy.

Talking about how MR was angry and isolated, that Dylan was no longer an adoring young child who only saw MR as dad, but saw him as a man. That Dylan was his last connection to family and MR was losing that.

Trying to think of other trials where juror has been dismissed or excused and whether the Judge gives a reason.. I tend to remember yes. Seems they are usually clear for the record, whether it's an illness, family emergency, or violating admonitions,.etc. And in this case would the Judge have indicated which alternate will now take the place? Oh well, this is why there are alternates.

That's true, he didn't mention anything about an alternate replacing, maybe it was the fevered juror, I can't recall his number.

"Even for Dylan , A loving boy at heart, the relationship was severing.
The only reason he had contact with the defendant was bc the court ordered him to do so."

MR could have been helped, before he did this to Dylan. He needed therapy and to give up the booze.

  • #535
Just relised that Dylan could have been a father himself now.

Defense will argue it’s all just a coincidence when in fact it all points to Mark.

"Coincidences are the universe's way of pointing to the truth"

Pros cites Occams Razor.

(Yes, yes... Keep it simple)

State asks: Who had the smell of a dead body on his clothes and truck? Who had Dylan's blood in his house? Whose behavior was misleading? @LawCrimeNetwork

State: Remains tell us some of Dylan's belongings are gone. The defendant did his best to dispose of Dylan's remains. He almost succeeded. @LawCrimeNetwork

Dylan didn’t want to go and he told everybody he knew he didn’t want to go.

This statement still saddens me so much - the law failed Dylan and he died because of it. He should never of been put in such a position where he could be harmed.
